What is going on with the lobbies?
I'm closer to EU servers and ever since I switched from the disastrous PTB to LIVE, matchmaking has been awful. It keeps pushing me into lobbies with 400ms~ until I lobbyshop once or twice and find one where I get the normal ping I always used to get when playing DbD which is 60ms~ and once I find that lobby, my in-game ping stays consistent and stable without any problems. Which means my ping isn't unstable according to DbD and I don't keep switching between 400ms~ and 60ms~ which is a huge gap!
No, this isn't a technical issue like how bug reports section gaslit me into thinking. I have no problems whatsoever with my internet and a stable connection. After switching from PTB to LIVE I also had an issue where matchmaking wouldn't find me any lobbies no matter how long I've waited and after that was resolved this started happening. It's very unlikely that EU servers are struggling to find lobbies suitable for me either.
Does anyone have a legit explanation for this or am I going to get gaslit into thinking it's my connection again when it clearly isn't? There was another discussion by another player about this also but it got ignored.

I would say something about it, but I don't wanna get banned. So we gotta deal with it until they fix this gamebreaking server problem

They made changes to the matchmaking system secretly. There is something way different about matchmaking lately. All of my games have been miserable this season. My MMR is not lowering.

That is weird. It sounds like the game connects you to the wrong server. I can't say I've experienced this before. I usually have a very good connection. But it's weird that lobbyshopping actually helps with this.
Have you tried to contact the devs yet? Maybe they can help you with this. At least they should be able to find out what's wrong.

The issue is better now. The game is back to putting me in lobbies I belong to and if I ever get high ping it isn't as absurd as 400ms~ but more like 100ms~ but it still seems to happen here and there and I can see others have ping issues too in match details.
It lasted a long time though and when I asked about it they told me it was my internet but nothing about my internet quality changed since then so that answers the problem was DBD-sided.🤠

Yeah... It's still quite bad.
The Killer also had the high ping icon.

I’ve noticed since coming back over the past 6 months that both the anniversary and this event came with poor server performance.
When the game puts me on my region, I have about 20-28 ms. Lately my ping can go up to 75-80. That isn’t terrible by any means, but it’s still 3x higher than normal.
