D-STRIKE? Most of the time none, cuz I ignore them. It only F's me over when I ONLY find the obsession all time and noone else.

0 minimum, 2 maximum because I do a thing called "eat ds then catch up to them with frenzy and down them with normal lunge"

DS has never been OP, just feels that way

It was a strong as hell perk, but it could still get soft countered by enduring/Unnerving/Doctor

1 or 2 max, I don't play with D-Strike as much as they want me to. I usually take it if it's early on, if it's mid-game I either slug or dribble. If the ######### piece of ######### D-Striker still has it by the Endgame then that's my fault and they deserve to get out or bleedout.

Total or in a game? Cuz total is 300+ easy. I've been on grim pantry and had it cost me all 5.

Usually it's more of a combination of annoying things that cost you gens, not just ds. Today I played against a SWF bully squad. To keep it short:

    - two decisive strikes that I couldn't avoid.

    - all the hooks in the middle section of the map were sabotaged (one of them even brought "alex' sabo toolbox") and whenever I headed to another hook they'd try to sabo that one, too. Good thing I had agitation so I always managed to JUST get to another hook in time.

    - totem was gone immediately.

    - each one looped either optimally or at least nearly optimally.

    - each one tried to "distract me" by making noise on purpose every few moments whenever I was in a chase which confused the hell out of me.

The combination of all these factors caused me to lose gens like crazy. Got me a little annoyed so at some point I started facecamping and won after losing 4 gens like nothing. Didn't expect to win after that but luckily toxic SWF teams are overly altruistic sometimes.

Even if you use it... and the killer recovers and gets you again, that chase is at least 15-20 more seconds usually. At least.

Each time DS is used, it is 1/2 a gen basically. If the survivor is very good and evasive... it can be 2-3 gens.

The whole "5 gen chase" doesn't really happen. It does... but it's so "rare" that it doesn't factor into logical conversations.

    Too many to count

Honestly, most of the time, I either quickly down someone else, or down the DS user within 10-15 seconds. DS by most users is a waste. Now and then, you get those really good SWFs where DS is killing you.

If chasing a single survivor cost you more than one gen then you need to understand two things:

    1) you can always stop chasing them and go for someone else

    2) that survivor is clearly more skilled than you at chases/looping/lala so you should read number 1 again.

Does this really even need to be a discussion?

    More skilled survivor than me?

Being killer and survivor is not the same.

If you are chasing a survivor for that long then they clearly understand the game mechanics much more than you do. M1/R1 as a killer isn’t hard, but if you can land it. If you see you can’t for over a long period of time then you need to find someone easier to beat up :)

Easier said than done when you play killer. When I play survivor looping is much easier, I loop people until they give up or gens are being done.

Problem is when ds restarts the chase which is very unfair.

since they usually go down near a good loop, around 1 or 2 gens.

i can not wait until this gets nerfed. hard.

It depends really since most people an't loop well and most killers don't know how to path well. If you're allowing yourself to be ran around for multiple generators that means the issue is you.

Slug, don't tunnel the one freshly off the hook, go for the unhooker = profit.

I am talking about previous ds. I am on console.

I never use it because it's a one off ability and there are far better perks that help me not get caught in the first place that can be used continually throughout the match.

I do feel a little sorry for the people who relied on it but also happy for them too because ironically this DS nerf Killers wanted SO badly with all their complaining have just ended up shooting themselves in the foot. This DS nerf will inevitably end up helping these very same Survivors to become exponentially better than they ever where when they relied on DS for that one off, one shot hook escape.

Probably like one or two maybe. I dont know I've been hit by it so many times already and downed the survivor rather quickly it never really mattered. Other times I just leave them and head on over to a gen being worked on.

DbD is a low skilled game, and it's easy to each the skilled limit, especially as survivor. Killers were mainly complaining about DS because good survivors used it. And those usually won't become much better, they will just be less cocky and toxic cuz they know they don't have the crutch perk anymore

I did a little experiment when I was still playing 10 games Ds rank 1 and I was playing trapper. So every game was about 2-3 Ds and I had ruin. Around 1-3 gens were done from the time wasted from ds. Very fun and balanced with the nice gg ez at then end of the game.
