Feels like everyone forgot Singu :(
Can't even remember the last time I saw him in my games. I saw more Twins than Singu, no joke.

Surprised?

Yeah, that's what'll happen when you give survivors 100% control over the killer's power. EMPs are not fun to play against so people just won't play him. It's a shame too, he's one of the cooler new killers.

I had one some days ago.
But i haven´t seen an Alien i think during the whole event now.

Go to reddit. There are supposedly a ton of Singu mains.
Like really... had discussions about not seeing Singu anymore and everyone said that he´s fine and that they main him.

I can't see why many people would chose to play a killer where survivors have the majority control over your power and the pay off is just okay.

I wouldn't say he's common, but I still get Singu games every now and then. Sometimes I won't see a Killer for ages and then suddenly I'll face a few of them in a row. At the moment Dredge is a pretty popular pick (this could be more to do with the Tome challenges, though).
Come to think of it, I've not seen a Legion for a couple of weeks and they've supposedly got a fairly high pick rate. DBD is weird like that.

There's what people say and what they do.
Personally, I've been relatively active since Singu arrived, and I've only seen him three times in the first few weeks after his arrival. And he got destroyed in every game btw...
I try to play it seriously sometimes, but after 3-4 games, I suffer too much to continue :')

Absolutely.
Tbh, the amount of dedication it requires to learn him stands in no correlation with how (un)rewarding he is to play. But some people seem to think thats ok and that he shouldn´t get buffs or changes.

I played him a lot, but can't get to touch him anymore. I don't even feel he's weak, he just feels too clunky and mechanically intensive. Kinda' the same way Twins are.
If bdb only had 8-10 killers I'd play him, but got so many more options.
3 -
I would play him a lot more if his cameras weren’t blocked by the smallest objects.
It gets frustrating locking onto a survivor, having a branch or leaf obstruct them for half a second and reset your entire progress and now they are out of reach or managed to get to an EMP.
2 -
He requires a lot more effort for the same reward easier killers get. He isn't better or if he is better he isn't by much so putting in 2x the amount of effort and map knowledge just to get countered by infinitely spawning fast activating emps doesn't feel great and even if they don't use them and you land some hits you are just playing an m1 killer with decent catch up and action speed.
Honestly I think he should get some qol changes and buff changes to reflect the effort he has to put in and to balance how much counterplay he has.
Just some ideas
Have survivors who are dying on hook not cause the wake up penalty (when you use your power within a certain range of a hook you have a 5 second slowdown which is fine but it also happens even if the survivor has been hooked for the 3rd time and is actively being taken into the sky by the entity)
Reduce the amount of distance a survivor gains from slipstreaming to them. Currently there is a 1.7s slowdown after you teleport to a survivor ~8m is a pretty average distance when stretched around a normal pallet loop and is plenty enough to wait out overclock duration. Reduce it to something more like 1.5s or 1.3s of slowdown. You shouldn't have to go through all that effort of biopoding and all the counterplay both preemptive and active of emps just to end up a normal chase distance away from a survivor you should be rewarded with very likely a hit or resources used unless the survivor has something like an exhaustion perk.
Holding onto an emp should cause the printer you took it from to not passively generate another or generate slower. (incentivises using emps actively rather than retroactively theres no reason to disable a biopod if you haven't been slipstreamed by it when you can wait to get slipstreamed by it then emp both at the same time)

I have the same impression. If I want to have a good game playing him, I have to try so hard that it's physically exhausting. That's mainly why I can't play him for long; it's physically draining.
However, even I don't find him weak, but there are things about this character that I've never understood...
-Survivors see AND hear the active biocapsule.
-Survivors see who is targeted by the biocapsule. (like survivors see the killer's HUD?)
It's like the devs want survivors to know everything the killer is doing. He's not entitled to any element of surprise, even though his trailer seemed to suggest otherwise.
I could also talk about frustrating things like random textures where you can't attach anything, biocapsules that see players without targeting them, and other frustrating issues, but I think BHVR has already received the message. And given the total lack of communication about it, I've already given up.

I've only faced 1 of them. Twins and Artist are non existent too. Only faced Apex merchant once also.

Singularity fails at their entire killer concept. We were told survivors would have to think or worry about grouping together against this killer….. but in reality survivors are encouraged to group together for altruistic EMPs, and survivors can bypass the bipod spreading mechanic by working on opposite sides of the same generator.
1) EMPs need to be nerfed so they don’t remove pods on teammates.
2) Remove the line of sight requirement from biopod spreading, or do something else so that biopods are guaranteed to spread when multiple survivors are repairing the same generator.

My singularity changes:
EMP can not cleanse other survs only the one who is using it. (same as u are infected by nemesis)
If you get hooked you wont lose the slipstream instead the person who rescue you get it.If both survs are infected you can teleport ( like pinhead teleport) but u have grace period like when stunning a pallet.
Emp crates respawns EMP much more easier.
You can infect and teleport with ur arms or cameras.
Gain a haste effect for each survivor infected

I actually ran into 3 different ones yesterday and he won 2 of those matches.

Singularity's problem is he has a lot of potential, but he is complex and rather map dependent, which makes him tricky to play and hard to learn, especially on console...
Great on maps like Ormond, Dead Dawg, Fractured Cowshed/Rancid Abbatoir, Borgo... but brutal on Lery's, Red Forest and Midwich (and it's really surprising to have Midwich as a bad map for a killer...). On an unfavourable map, he is rough to pick up in general, and almost unplayable on console... I had to totally switch to using my blobs to sit above gens for vision and only play as an M1 killer...
Sticking blobs above gens isn't how you use him, but on such maps, you kinda have to... However once you actually get his power, and you understand how to use him, he is actually very stimulating and fun to play, and you can compensate for a bad map... and have an absolute blast when you get a good one.

Yeah here's the problem yhe effects of his power are so strong it would be hard to buff him without making him op
So here's some small changes that I think would be good to make him better to play as and againts
1 emp bio pods that are bring controlled reactivate 200%faster cutting time from 45s to 22.5
2 attached bio pods have 5 charges teleporting uses 1 charge limiting how many attempts you have overclock on person using an emp will remove 4 charges
3 EMPs can nolonger be manually accelerated but now take 60s to print instead of 80
4 lock on time is reduced by .2s allowing a tp before an emp if the surovor fails to break los

I love this killer.
But I can't play as him for more than 2 matches.
Sometimes even 1 is enough. xD

I thought Singu was the little brother of Oni. Sounds very Japanese to me. :)
During the event I encountered Singu twice. In both instances the player DC-ed. The second time it happened because I smashed a pallet in his face. In both cases we were relatively early in the match.

It wasn't programmed to harm the crew.

I think that he is the killer I like the least to play. (And saying "like" is stretching it.)
I even replace its dailies as there is no way I would play it. I have nothing against throwing for a daily but there is a minimum of fun required.

Stranger Things coming back definitely is not gonna help poor Singu :(

I believe he could use some small buffs, but nothing huge. I believe there are people that are able to really make him work.

Can't even remember the last time I saw him in my games. I saw more Twins than Singu, no joke.
That's just the way random probability work. Both Singularity and Twins are down toward the bottom of pick rates. When something only has a 1 to 2% chance of occurring unless you play 1000s of games keeping track, it's going to be difficult to tell the difference between Twins 0.83% pick rate and Singularities 1.48% (Nightlight's current stats for them).

good. no attention = no complaints/nerfs. he is in a good spot.

Singularity is the new Twins: gets released; gameplay has many issues; most people don't find it fun, but frustrating; almost nobody plays him; gets forgotten; doesn't receive new skins because he isn't being played anyway (seriously, the only new Singularity skin after his release was the one from the tome, which already was scheduled before his release anyway, since every new killer gets the next tome now).
But to be honest, I would rather play a dozen games as the Twins than a single one as the Singularity. He needs to make multiple steps in order to get his power to work even once, and any survivor can undo ALL the steps with the press of a button. That's just way too frustrating.

singularity is a killer that takes actual skill unlike most of the cast, which is the reason most dont play him and consider him weak
1 -
That is bs. Most killers take skill, believe it or not. Singu just has a particular high skill ceiling and skill floor.
6 -
I think I've seen pinhead the least. Singularity I get every now and then but it has been a while and I don't expect to see them with Hawkins out rn.

Yeah, it’s a pity.
Gameplaywise one of my favourites, most fun killer for me since blight and wesker.
But counterplay by experienced survivors is too strong and the camera can be pretty frustrating sometimes too.

that's what I meant, an actual high skill ceiling and floor killer, I main him myself and consider him to be the 2nd hardest killer to play in the game next to hillbilly

One of the main reasons very few play Singularity is quite simple:
🎮🎮
1 -
The most curious is according him it takes skill but the counter takes no skill for the survivors
0 -
Well yeah, I am just saying that other killers take skill as well. Maybe not as much, but still.

Dw I still play him :)
