New teaser is a clear reference to Curse of Chucky
Title.

Not me. I never was a huge fan of Chucky (maybe because I couldn't stop laughing when I watched the first one). I'm more or less indifferent about it but I really hope, that in case it is Chucky, they don't give him voice lines. That'd be even more goofy than Mr. Puddles.

That's a pretty big reach. There are dozens of horror movies with knife racks in them.
1 -
Pretty obvious imo.
Chucky better have voice lines. No point in putting him in the game otherwise. Chucky's personality is his best trait.
2 -
Nah. I just don't like Chucky. I wouldn't buy him for the license. Maybe, if I was really interested in the gameplay but I couldn't care less about having Chucky in the game. And honestly, I am already a bit annoyed with the amount of characters with voice lines. It used to be extremely special for Nemesis to say "STARS". But now it seems every other killer has to have voice lines.

The more the merrier. Someone always mad about something I suppose. Can't please everyone. Understandable.

You know what else people do? Eat, sleep and use the bathroom. Do you want that in the game too for depth? I wouldn't. Because going to the bathroom in the middle of a chase doesn't sound very immersive to me.
It kind of kills the atmosphere when one is constantly talking. But maybe that's just me. Anyways, if it ends up being Chucky with voice lines, I won't have to play as him, so I guess it's fine. I don't really care.

I'd love those things in the game actually. :I

Looking at the silhouette of the missing knife, I'm moreso hoping this is a long-overdue Myers update than I am hoping it's the worst old school slasher villain of all time.
3 -
Why not both?

If it is actually reference to Chucky then its a poor choice. This is not even an iconic image from the Chucky movies.

That's the idea. It's suppose to be vague. :P Hence the word.."teaser"..
1 -
It's actually pretty good idea. Missing weapon was always part of movies if i don't remember wrongly and it always started next terrifying scene.
2 -
Definitely looking more like Chucky!
I've changed my tune a bit. A while back I was against Chucky coming in because back then I thought it was too silly.
Now, I'm cheering over Naughty Bear and a bit more light-hearted, so I'm kinda looking forward to it! The cornfield maps are going to be a bastard to deal with, trying to find a bloody killer doll though!

That's good to hear. I always wondered why people thought Chucky was goofy when DBD already has Ash from Evil Dead. None of those movies give me the impression of a serious tone. Whereas the first few Child's Play movies take themselves very seriously in that Chucky is a murderer and no laughing matter.

Yep. Springyboi where you at?

Because one is something good and the other is a Chucky DLC.

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion. :) I'll enjoy it!

Is this a joke?

What if we get a Tiffany Legendary and Jennifer Tilly supplies the lines?
1 -
Hopefully its just a Myers rework tease. Predator is a way better fit for the game than a kids doll imo.
1 -
He'll fit just fine. You don't have to like it.

Identical to this one? Please, show to us. More information are welcome!!
1 -
The picture you posted isn't identical to their teaser. They're both unremarkable magnetic knife holders.

I think it's bait honestly; think about it like this; Trickster's Knife(s) is there, Clown's Blade is there, and Legion's Blade is there. The common trait between them is that they have all be reworked at some point in their lifespan within the game.
The large knife could be hinting towards Myers receiving a rework; there are many scenes where Myers just takes kitchenware and uses them as a weapon, and all the other knifes are held up like kitchenware.
Either that or it's a double teaser, maybe we're both right.
2 -
Chucky did a tv show trailer with myers before so even if it's myers knife it just points more to chucky

I'm not convinced this is the Chapter 30 teaser. I think it's more likely to be a Myers Rework. I don't think that Chucky would be a "Silly" addition to dbd. I just don't see how they could make him work as an independent killer when he's relatively the same height as Victor.
Victor only works because of Charlotte, so in order to make Chucky work without sizing him up they'd have to go the Twins route.

Yes, but if it's so common, what other films does it appear in? You just seem to be uncomfortable and looking for a justification to not accept that there is a relationship with Child's Play.
0 -
They said recently though that Myers won’t be receiving any changes anytime soon.
He’s on “The List” but not a high priority so I doubt this is for a Myers rework.
1 -
I think that has a lot more with do with budget and creative freedom than anything else. In reality it would make sense for most characters to speak.
Killers are able to show their joy and glee in killing survivors or show their frustrations while survivors can show their fear, horror and pain in more verbal ways. This is all more entertaining to the entity who feeds off their despair and pain.

I think it's funny people saying chucky would make this game silly, yet we have a naughty bear, big rabbits, a walking elephant, not to mention a dating game of DBD, also fact of kicking victor as he launches himself at you, and if it is FNAF which I am myself not overly a fan of, be adding grinning weird animatronics which look like they have been on a night out bender.
1 -
It just goes to show people will say anything to ward off stuff they don't like from joining the game. FNAF is too childisch, Chucky is too silly, [insert killer] would never work in the game, ... It's just their way of saying 'I don't like this and I wanted something else'.

No matter who or what they bring to this game, no one is ever going to be happy, who ever comes out now some be happy some be sad.
1 -
Okay, so... I was wrong.

Yea, Chucky only has 7 movies and a TV show with 3 seasons. Totally not a killer anyone has ever heard of.
