Owners of Stranger Things chapter prior to removal

Can we kindly get exclusive skins for the characters since we have owned the DLC before it got removed and have spent money on the skins since we were told it would not return. ''will mark the last occasion for fans to purchase Stranger Things content in Dead by Daylight'', this is in the post that mentioned that ST would be leaving DBD. After 7 years of playing DBD through its ups and downs and having event cosmetics and rift cosmetics get re--released... its quite aggravating to be honest. Can we please get these rewards for owning the DLC and buying skins prior to removal, im not talking about those who purchased off of 3rd party sites, im only talking about us players who have owned it through steam since release. Those who wanted ST to return win and those who spent money and stuck with the game win as well. For those who disagree can respond while also keeping it a friendly discussion please

I understand which is why i said that those who wanted stranger things and the skins got them with the new update. So they have nothing to lose at all, whats the harm in adding exclusive skins

I'm trying to imagine BHVR coming up with a nice way to go to Netflix and say, "Hey, some of our players are unhappy that Stranger Things has returned to the game. Are we allowed to give original owners free exclusive cosmetics to appease them?" And I don't see Netflix giving BHVR the green light on that. Even if they did, BHVR would have to allot manpower to create those cosmetics, and that's just a money sink with no return on investment.

I've owned Stranger Things since it was released, and I got the cosmetics on sale. I think it's nice that ST has returned and feel no sense of loss. Stranger Things was always meant to be a chapter, not a limited time exclusive. I wouldn't have bought those cosmetics if they weren't on sale, but I got them at a huge discount and I still only got the ones I wanted, not every single one just for some misplaced sense of exclusivity or FOMO. If you purchased cosmetics you didn't want, unless someone literally forced you to do it, that decision is on you. If someone did force you, then that's a matter for the police.

I'm not trying to be unfriendly in my response. However, just because new players now have access to Stranger Things doesn't lessen its value for old players. And players who didn't buy Stranger Things when it was originally released still have to purchase the chapter and any cosmetics they want, they don't get it for free. Hopefully, ST returning means BHVR will get to add new cosmetics to the store, and then there will be new items for everyone, both old players and new.

The special treatment prior owners of ST got was keeping it when it went away, not having to repurchase it now it's back and, if you unlocked the perks beforehand, getting their tier 1s on everyone who lacked them when the Prestige rework went through.

I do kinda get that it was a bit misleading that devs said it was the last chance to buy stranger things and that the map would be removed permanently.

But, i don't support making exclusive content. Personally when i want something in a game i can no longer get i feel punished just for the sole reason that i wasn't interested in the game earlier. Exclusive skins limit player expression and exclusive characters cause balance problems.

They at least did the huge discounts as soon as they announced that the content would be leaving.

It was also only possible to get the prestige portrait demo if you had the content then, but i understand not everyone will have it because prestiging was unpopular previously.

I think maybe a portrait icon for legacy owners would be good enough. Anything more and the impact of stranger things leaving will still be felt.

    .....I don't get it.

Is it just to say you have something someone else doesn't have? People don't tend to like that.

You got to enjoy it for the time it was gone and pour as many points as you wanted into it, while newer players have to level them up. You already had a privilege.

I'm sorry, but I genuinely do not understand this mindset.

Why do you think you should be eligible to be rewarded for purchasing a product? I could maybe understand it if the DLC came back free to everyone, but it isn't. It costs exactly the same now as it did back then, and the same with the store cosmetics.

This isn't a case of Legacy being rewarded to people who grinded the old bloodweb before it was changed; the way of obtaining the ST content then is exactly the same as it is now.

Why should you be rewarded for paying the same then as someone who would now?

This entitlement is very strange. I have never seen a community more obsessed with 'exclusives' than DBDs.

I literally scooped up the DLC a day before it was taken offsale, none of us are entitled to free exclusive cosmetics, if you want cosmetics, buy the ones that are available, no need for "exclusive" skins because you've had the DLC longer. I don't understand the "win" mindset, I think it's just a win overall that new players and anyone who didn't get the DLC have the chance to play the killer and survivors now.

FWIW, the devs didn't know they'd be able to have the chapter return. They didn't say anything misleading, since it was true at the time.

If they did say it might return, that's misleading.

Buying stuff in a videogame (most likely on a BIG discount) is not really an achievement which warrants any exclusive items. You were able to play with the characters and use the cosmetics for roughly two years and every player who started playing DBD during this time did not have access to those things. AND if they want to have it, they have to pay the full price (at least for now).

My guy, you brought this chapter when it was available. For the same price that others will buy it from now on. So what kind of privilages do you want because of that? It's not our falt that chapter gone off.

I completely don't understand the logic of your message.

If so, YOU already have privilages, since you already got Demo, Steve and Nancy prestiged. While others have to spend the same ammount of money as you did, and only start prestiging them now.

You already got a bonus if you bought the skins before, as prior to the removal of the chapter there was an outfit discount that made them incredibly cheap, you got to save money. However I feel its fine everyone has access to the same cosmetics FOMO and exclusivity is a disease that must be erradicated in gaming.
