Letting survivors go

Hi, I have a question.

I understand giving hatch is generally a common thing to do, I do it most of the time. However, what about letting multiple survivors go? I’ve had multiple games where I get 1-2 kills, then the survivors give up so I let them do gens. If i was to be reported for “teaming” could I be punished? Sometimes it might look like teaming if the survivors I killed were unlucky to die early on, so I can see why it might annoy some survivors.

I’m paranoid about this because I’ve put a lot of money into cosmetics and characters so I don’t want to be banned :( I have to ask because I generally feel bad most killer games.

Thank you so much!!!!

I almost always let at least one survivor go and have played for years without getting into trouble. Even if some people report you I don't think BHVR cares about this kind of things.

Reports for working with the killer probably exist to stop survivors from sandbagging their teammates without consequences. I'm not sure it matters for the killer side.

BHVR can't even tell if their own code is malfunctioning without video evidence. They do not punish for breaking "rules" lol

I let often more than one go.

    Especially if they are new.

Right now i am doing the purple glyph tome - when i got my glyph the match is done for that.

Then i don´t need to play for all kills.

If I ever decide to let survivors go it's more so because I feel like I'm getting cheated in a way because if the survivors aren't trying and I just straight up kill them, then my MMR is going to raise so sometimes not all the time but very few times I'll just let them escape for that reason because I want to reach the higher lvls of the MMR by earning it rather than it be given to me if that makes sense?

Been playing for about a year and I've never been banned

If people survived the whole, blocking survs into corners, hatch stand offs, game bugs, blocking each other, and many many more, I think you will be fine, been here since 2018 too and put time, effort, blood, sweat, tears, a lost controller thrown at the tv(jks) money, patience and a sacrifice, you will be fine :)
