Are prestige levels going to be hidden in the upcoming chapter?
I looked at today's PTB patch notes and saw no mention about prestige being hidden, which is very disappointing. I just want to play my favorite survivor again without getting lobby dodged and harrassed.

I hope you make right decision and let them stay. There is no skin reward for P100 but there is reward you can at least show it.

No, prestige levels need to be hidden for everyone. I'm tired of getting harrassed and lobby dodged just because my favorite survivor has a high prestige
24 -
you would be able to see them in post game screen
22 -
I'm very upset that prestige levels still haven't been hidden yet. Just show them at the end of the match, we should NOT be punished for playing our favorite survivors.

Speak for yourself. Many others of us don’t get harassed, dodged, bullied, or whatever else y’all say happens because of high prestige.
At most, it could be made an optional setting.
6 -
You can still show it in the postgame screen which is enough on its own. There is zero good reason to show it in the lobby.
17 -
It can stay in the post-match screen.
You still get to show off and nobody can use it as an excuse to dodge or pre-emptively harrass.

I have no real problem with the prestiges shown pre-match.
I also dodge almost never.
Funnily the high prestiges are the first to dc often (which i find embarrassing) in my games and some low prestiges are the way better players.

Me, still waiting for a final decision from the devs
4 -
Or, or… it’s made an optional setting.
2 -
I'd rather it be hidden. End of the match is fine.

I think people might start to dodge if they saw a hidden prestige, the same way they would dodge players using the anonymous mode.
Hiding prestige wouldn't just help the P100s imho, it would also help lower prestige players who found themselves in the wrong lobby from being an obvious target for tunnelling out.
10 -
What's the point of being able to show your prestige to players in the pre-game lobby? The problem is clear: lobby dodging - what benefit does having it entail?
4 -
Lobby dodging I can get understand to a degree (occassionally do it myself, when I get some bad vibes from a lobby as a killer).
But harrassing? Who harasses you, your mates, or the killer? And what bad thing could they possibly say besides how bad a choice you made (in their pov)? Not neglecting your experience, just surprised, since I rarely get any interaction with my team mates in pre-game lobbies at all.
1 -
That wouldn't work. Any player that would dodge a P100 will dodge someone optionally hiding their prestige assuming they are hiding their P100 status.
12 -
Making it optional doesn’t work. Then you can just dodge based on “you’re hiding your prestige so you must be a high prestige you don’t want me to see.” It’s just as irrational of a reason to dodge as dodging over high prestige is to begin with, but it would at least partially defeat the purpose of hiding them.
9 -
Almost like a setting would allow you to hide yours. :)
I don’t get lobby dodged. A large amount of people aren’t getting dodged.
Some Jimmies will dodge for absolutely anything. This is nothing new.

Frankly, the p100 isn't an indication of anything except someone plays with the same character A LOT. My anecdotal experience has shown that it's not always a good indication of skill. In fact, when I see two p100 in a lobby, they usually end up throwing the game to save each other. However, it should be hidden because there seems to be enough players who are intimidated by it and instead of playing a game to have fun, they think they should be undefeated.

Hide prestige levels in the pre game lobby. Then show them in the post game screen. That way those who want to flex their P100 still get it noticed.

I'm sure the devs are doing their best whilst examining this challenging data to make the most fitting and significant decision for this nuanced issue. Let's grant them all the time they require /s
2 -
just because you don’t get harassed that doesn’t mean others aren’t either. That’s silly.
5 -
It's been like what? 2 or 3 months since the test now? Why can't they just hide them from the lobby already? That's literally the best solution. Having an optional setting would be bad because killers would know you're hiding your prestige level for a reason.
4 -
Again, almost like I said an option would be best.. So you know.. people with differing experiences can choose based on that. Nowhere did I say “This doesn’t happen to me soo it must not happen to anybody”.

I disagree. Because players who opt to hide their prestige would stand out like a sore thumb and would instantly be suss for hiding it. The killer would know they're very high level. Otherwise why bother to hide it at all.
The best solution is to make it hidden for everyone til post game.
2 -
But that doesn’t solve anything. It just moves the issue.
Because then those that hide their prestiges are gonna get dodged non-stop, regardless of their actual prestige level.
If you mean that the killer can choose to not see prestiges… those that dodge because of prestige are not gonna enable that, are they?
3 -
That’s YOUR prediction. You have zero evidence to prove that. Flip side, I have no evidence to disprove your prediction. But I do know that if somebody is willing to dodge because of prestige, dodge because of hidden prestige, then they will just find another reason to dodge regardless.
I also know that while there are people that are possibly experiencing dodging because of prestige, there are also people who are NOT being dodged because of prestige. Now BECAUSE we do not have any evidence to prove or disprove anything (BHVR hasn’t published any results), it would not be right to just blankety make a decision for everybody , ie forcing everybody to hide prestige.

Then what you're looking for is a solution, ideally one that does both: allows you to show your prestige in lobbies and also reduces lobby dodging.
The only two solutions I see that do this would be to either:
- Lock matchmaking so that if a dodge occurs the rest of the lobby essentially goes back into queue to find an appropriate match. Basically stop turning off matchmaking to find a quick game and go for quality. Which inevitably means lobby dodging is just resetting the queue and punishing the rest of the lobby. Matchmaking is fixed, but queue times could become problematic.
- Lock players to a lobby. So if someone is determined to be a 'good match' and find a lobby, they can dodge, but it'll auto fill them back into that same lobby until that game starts. Might work with the previous step, but it would mean lobby dodging doesn't just give you a free reroll. Someone who keeps dodging will constantly get the same lobby and it stops being an effective way to 'shop'.
