Is this intentional?
Or an oversight? I tried asking a team mate for help - waved them over and pointed at the chest but they just stared at me. I think the killer seemed to know because aside from the occasional hit he pretty much left me alone. Being able to drop the mirror would be helpful.

I thought once the mirror was repaired (after you interacted with the basement glyph) you could drop it and pick it back up?

you can drop the mirror but maybe you were standing in a spot where it wouldn't register

Might have been. I'll also check my controller settings next time I'm on.

I think I've also had experiences where I could not drop the mirror. I'm not sure if it's intentional or not.

That should not be intentional and definitely a bug since it’s preventing you from easily accessible counter mechanics against the killer

You should be able to drop it and pick it back up. That used to be the case before Flashbang and so on still counted as an item. Maybe you were standing somewhere where you couldn't drop it? I've noticed that lately there are more "tiles" were it's become more difficult to place down an item in general.

Thanks everyone! Since it's just me I'm not entirely sure it's a bug, it's possible I was just trying to place it on a tile that I couldn't. No wonder my team mate was just staring at me 🤣 at least the killer was nice to me. He probably wanted me to get the bonus points escaping with the mirror.

you mentioned controller setting though? I know there is at least a bug regarding some killers powers (eg preventing you from repel artists crows) when you have specific input binds changed. So if you actually can’t drop it anywhere you might need to look at these?

Yeah input bindings is what I was referring to re controller settings. I'll check them tomorrow when I'm on next just in case that played a role. I played against an Artist today without issue so can't say I've had issues with killers powers thankfully
