Almost 3 months ago since the hidden prestige test, will we get an announcement about this soon?
I hope the final decision is to hide them from the lobby and only show them after the match

It might be a little while, as they messed around with the MMR soft cap numbers, and are likely seeing how that changes things over time.

I hope its just a toggle. Plenty want it gone, and plenty want it toggled. Toggle just seems like its more on the mark for any and everyone.

I asked about this a couple weeks ago. Mandy replied and said that they’re still analyzing the data from the tests and they will let us know once they come to a decision on it.

Hopefully visible prestiges go away with the upcoming Player Cards feature and people can choose to show their prestiges on those cards if they really wish to.

I also hope they'll be disabled in the pregame lobby. Fingers crossed that's the decision they come to after analyzing their data.

Could it be possible that they're just refusing to hide prestige at this point? All I'm seeing on the official DBD Twitter is them just posting useless memes and the same cosmetics over and over

being a toggle makes the change pointless.

Then I vote we don't change it. I've had more positive than negative interactions regarding lobbies and such on my p100. Sorry you haven't. So keep asking for change, and I'll keep asking that it stays the same or compromise on a toggle. You're not even wanting to compromise.
Or are you? If a toggle isn't a compromise, what would be? Someone mentioned interactions with the card thing. Could work. :)

Those who do not want it shown at all before trial prolly won't like it showing up in some player card that can be opened up, let alone as any option.
Those who wish to flex their prestiges and show them off prolly want no changes at all, or failing that as that very option.
My own personal vote would be to remove lobbies altogether, just load directly in. Doing so would allow their MMR system its best shot at a fair-ish match, plus nicely eliminate that last second swapping bs survs can still do for some reason.

Removal of lobbies would ruin the game for me. I use the information as both killer and Survivor to determine which (if any) items and addons I will bring as well as which perks I would or would not use.
I also need to be able to dodge lobbies with trolls since we can't ban across platforms who we play with.

I can see an uptick of Killer DCs/Lack of Killers if they removed lobbies.
The sad truth is that a lot of Killers just do not want to face 4man squads, even if they just look like one. Specially older Killers, a lot have PTSD because of this game.

This is the crux of the problem and the devs are partially to blame but also the genre.
BHVR probably knows nobody wants balanced lobbies and they're most likely fickle enough to quit if the matches were truly evenly matched.
It would explain why killers get so much extra info in pre-game lobby and why hookcides aren't removed. Hiding prestige in pre-game lobby shouldn't even be a point of contention considering it only has benefits.
They appear to be striving for "good enough" over "good" to make as many people happy as possible.
Look at Skerchant rework(s), map reworks, perk changes. None of these changes have been particularly good but instead passable enough for them to move on without getting backlash.

I'm looking at it from the matchmaking perspective for the entire playerbase. We all know lobby dodging wreaks their system, we just don't know how badly yet. That's why they tested out removing the prestiges in the lobby, to see how it effects everything.

No doubt the vet killers wish to avoid those kinds of groups, no matter how rare they might be. But it is also true they're most likely the ones who can handle the best of the trolliest best.

Maybe the data shows players not seeing Prestige quit Lobbies more often.
