Cooldown, cooldown, cooldown, cooldown, cooldown, cooldown
I really dislike every reworked and newly released killers having some form of long cooldown slapped onto them.
- Sadako, 10s
- Skull merchant, 10s
- Xeno, 3s miss cooldown, snail movement speed during this time
- Chucky, 18s cooldown
- Trickster, still 44 blades despite taking 8 to injure again like on release
Its the main reason why I despise playing wesker, since I feel punished doing M2 into M2 instead of m1 into m2 or vice versa. Weskers cooldown could easily be reduced to 5s per token (not including infection reduction) and he's be fine.
Kinda boring to use and I really hope the trend doesn't continue. Chucky having 18s, while spirit has 15s and blight having 10s, seems illogical when his power is marginally weaker than theirs.

I don't see why Sadako's CD is a problem, do you really need to go across the map more than every 10 seconds? Even if you just kick the gen that's near the TV that's enough to use up the majority of the cooldown. And was probably the original intent of her design since she came with call of brine
Chucky I also don't see being too much of a problem since the power is really strong and with the right build he can be staying at a 20 or 16m terror radius in between being undetectable half the game. Since people are learning how to curve him around loops it's debatable if he's weaker than spirit at the current time
Xeno is so strong it needs to be punished for missing the attack imo

I Also don‘t like like the long cooldown. I hate the sadako rework she isn‘t fun anymore. Xeno is too punishing for also dealing with turrets, which slow you down. Skull merchant is better now, but still too annoying and that she gets undetectable is too much. Chucky I can‘t tell, how it will feel, when playing him. For trickster I think 8 blades is too much, I just started playing him and it‘s not so easy against good survivors to land a hit.
You forgot ghost face, which ability also takes ages to recharge and then he also gets stalked by a survivor, which takes him out of his power.

Out of all of the cooldowns there, sadakos is the most justified. Though if I want to keep TPing to TVs to build up someones condemn, I have to do something like kick a gen in that 10s window. It sounds really petty but I don't like waiting for the game to let me do something. I would much rather she have no cooldown, but have TPs apply half a stack (with a bunch of other changes obv).
18s for a killer with mediocre stealth, mediocre catch up, good chase, and 110 is too much. Should be 15s at the maximum. Spirit's ability is leagues better at catch up and chase, and she has access to 15s and rusty flute.
(Tbh I don't agree that chucky is even close to top 4 but ig we'll see in live)
Xenos power feels awful to play with compared to other close-mid range killers like slinger and nemi. The cooldown should at least be 2.7s to keep it in line with an M1.

That's balance. Do you really believe making these killers spam their powers will be good for game?

With other changes massively reducing the cooldown would make them more fun to play, more consistent to verse, and possibly stronger. So yea.

More fun for killer player for sure. These killers have cooldowns for reasons.

i mean billy didnt have a cooldown. But i guess thats why overheat happened lol. Though i could see him being a nice appeal for constant active powers you don't have to work around cooldown/other restrictions on. Thats what made him appealing for me at least. I could chainsaw around the map and pretty much always use it. Hopefully they bring back that style with the update down the line.

Theres a reason old billy, current blight, huntress, etc are played so much is because they have short cooldowns which is obv fun to use. A shorter cooldown doesnt make a killer oppressive all of the sudden, chucky could have a 15s cooldown and he'd be so much more fun.

Old Billy nerfed.
Huntress is limited with numbers and need to reload.
People are not happy with Blight and asking nerfs for him.
We don't need another Blight. So cooldowns needed, especially for strong powers.

killer recharge rates for their power should not be bigger then 15 seconds. the ideal recharge is 8-12 seconds base-kit however a lot of killer tend to have recharge-rate type add-on so they tend account those as possible add-on choices. that is kinda of the case for chucky. chucky had 18 second cooldown but he has two add-on that reduce it by 14.4 and 15.3 respectively. it depends if you miss or hit the power. that cooldown is roughly spirit's default spirit walk cooldown. ideally killer should not need to use specific add-on every single match to use the ability in a time efficient manner but lots of killer in dbd are add-on reliant.

Literally nobody liked the billy nerf.
Huntress has cooldown and hatchet add ons, compare her to xeno and shes a worlds difference.
Blights add ons are the problem. Ive never seen someone complain about his base kit cooldown.

Did you play pre rework Sadako aka the good/fun Sadako?

Yeah, cooldowns feel really bad to play with.. but they are kinda required for balance. Most Killers you'll have to rework if you would remove the cooldown.
Wraith is a perfectly designed 0 cooldown Killer.
