No retroactive unlocks for Badges/Banners?
I was pretty excited when the profile pictures and banners were announced, and I truly hoped that with this update, I'd already have a few unlocked. I have every killer at least at P10, most achievements unlocked, and all archives done. However, the only badges and banners currently in the game are for purchasing the Chucky DLC. (edit: apparently you need to buy a cosmetic for Chucky to unlock them)
Yeah, I know they just added them, but considering the huge amount of content already in the game, I expected them to add a few already, you know? Such a bummer they didn't.

I agree. I also thought that there would be customizations already ready. But all you can get right now are the two things which come when you buy a cosmetic for Chucky.
If such a feature is introduced, it should have a lot of content immediatly. The player cards basically having 0 content on release really lowers the excitement for them.

Yeeeeeeeah I was excited for this. I love customization in games or otherwise. They should have had some stuff ready to go before release.

Wait, there's stuff that came with the DLC? I bought Chucky but my banners and badges are both completely empty.

I was thinking this as-well, im actually pissed i logged in and noticed NOTHING unlocked after 4k hours of playtime.

They kinda unlocked for me after spending some time in the bloodweb for Chucky and then returning to the main menu
edit: as stated below, only unlocked after purchasing a cosmetic for chucky

Did you buy a cosmetic? They don’t come with the DLC, but you receive them after buying one of the new Chucky cosmetics in the store. I was also confused by this at first!

Oh. Right. I impulse bought Tiffany because Chucky‘s lobby sounds were annoying the hell out of me. Also her design is great. Kinda forgot already

Thank you for the correction, I edited my post. I instantly buyed the stitched Chucky-Skin so I did not even realize that I got it from the Cosmetic. (Which makes the start of player cards even a bit worse...)
In general, I think they could have made quite a bunch of things already. At least something for every Survivor and Killer, as well as an Icon for every 10 Prestige Levels on the highest Character (so that P100s can have a P100-Customization, P50s P50-Customization, etc.).
I know it takes time to create them because they did not juse use the default pictures of Killers (which I really appreciate!), but I expected to toy a bit around with the player cards when they released.

I was hoping there would be something to unlock day 1. I got the PS4 platinum on Halloween and I think that would be cool to add as a banner or emblem. Hopefully they do add retroactive unlocks so there is more variety than just the ones we can earn from event and tomes. It would be boring to just see the same few all the time.

Same, it would've been really cool to open the game and have banners to choose from, and also see what other players have. At least I hope that they include then om the rift, I would rather have filler badges/banners than filler charms that haven't ever been used by a single player

So they went on about how great this feature would be for players, but forgot to mention that the only content available is locked behind a paywall? I'm sure that was an accident.

Yeah me too i really was hoping i would get some cool Dredge and Singularity badges and Banners :/
Im pretty sure they are saving Badges and Banners for Event and Rifts

10 bucks for a badge and a banner... That is ridiculous.
I'd have happily waited a few more weeks / months for it, if it meant that we'd get some things already unlocked for the things we did in the past. The game keeps track of so many things and there is nothing for it. It could be prestige rewards, character icons, badges for certain achievements etc. but instead you get to show everyone that you payed 10 bucks for a skin.
That doesn't feel all that great to me.
