When you think about this, if Freddy's powers from the movies were in DBD, he would be able to stop survivors mid pallet drop, hit them, then put them back on the other side of the pallet laughing at their futile attempt to stop him. Seriously, Freddy would be OP in terms of his lore.

    Freddy would honestly be waaaaay too powerful in dbd if we used his real form. He'd be stronger than the Nurse, he would also just break the repaired gens making the survivors start all over again if they even manage to get them done. But by the lore in-game, it states that his power was changed. This is the part where it describes what happened to him

     Then Freddy felt another presence with him; something old, powerful and dark. A miasma enveloped him and the only sensation was a sound like wooden beams flexing and creaking in the distance. The echoing groan of metal crushed against metal. Something arcane and unknowable, half-way between language and pure terror.

    A moment of falling and spinning and then Freddy was back in the school. But not his school. It looked the same, but it felt different. His powers were tempered in some ways and focused in others. The boy had gone for now, but another prey walked the hallways. Some would be inconsequential; others would become his new favourites. All would fall before his claws.

    The entity changed his powers, so unfortunately, we dont have the sadistic, dream demon Freddy. In this world, no one  can be more powerful than the entity. In Freddys words "Welcome to my world B*tch"

    Yeah its a shame.
    The guys from the nightmare series probably thought the same, but then BHVR came and ruined him

    Too be fair to the Entity, she didn't entirely screw Freddy over. From my knowledge watching the original film, Freddy can't put you into the dream world, you go in once you fall asleep. So in DBD, if Canon Freddy was implemented then when the survivors are asleep it would be a ######### storm for them, but that is the issue. Survivors would need to be asleep and Freddy wouldn't be able to force them to sleep, unlike how the Entity allows him to. They would get the 5 gens down and the gates opened before they start to sleep.

    Shameless advertising here, idk if you any of you saw it but I made my own rework for Freddy trying to honor his actual powers of being an actual threat in the dream world and not taking ######### from Survivors. While at the same time showing his other side as a human in the real world. I love Freddy and I wanted to make something that really fit him since he's the reason I bought this game, he's my all time favorite slasher and he just isn't himself in the Entity's realm and he's so weak compared to what he should be.
