Huntress Roadmap Changes? She Needs a buff!
I’d like to point out she has some of the lowest kill rates in the game according to BeHaviour at all MMR and Top 5% MMR.
People always say she’s in a good spot and while I would say she’s not bad by any means; there are SIX indoor maps that gut your power. And a lot of clutter on maps like Badham 1-5 and some MacMillan maps with low tree lines. My question is; how would you make her not so map dependent?
would 115 Huntress be too OP? Definitely wouldn’t be as strong as nurse or Blight.
or Maybe an 80% Hatchet Holding speed?
Or Maybe gains bloodlust faster? Since about 25% of the loops in the game you can’t land a hatchet at at all no matter if you have 10,000 hours or not.
I just want to hear some other peoples thoughts on her, I’ve been playing her for two years now and I’m still punching air every time I get one of those maps.

Its more a map problem than a huntress problem since quite a few killers get wrecked by indoor maps like Lery's (wesker for example).
Huntress I think is just fine as a killer, decently strong but now where near too strong and fun. If you made her 115 or gave her more bloodlust, then bad huntresses would be rewarded more which is not a super healthy design.

Id post the huh turtle for the 5th time this week but i think the mods are getting tired of it. So imma just say. She's mostly fine imo. Just some of her addons seem weird (iri head is still failed design its either useless or busted and they cant keep balancing around it) range killers are a slippery slope especially when they are instant damage like her. Since like they stated they don't like insanely good range killers in a chase game like this one. So i could mostly see a addon pass. And if they like her basekit keeping it pretty much the same.

I feel like she is mostly fine, the lower kill rates on some Killers are more of a map issue. Singularity and Billy being also big victims of this.

Maybe she'll be 115 when out of hatchets (basekit) ? I can't imagine she'll get any major changes

Perhaps, let her belt addon increase the number of hatchets when paired with iri. But instant down only count from 18m or something?
Her iri still keep the unfun play that she will run right next behind you before throwing hatchet.

Thats a red addon on her...

That's the point, get rid of it as an add-on and replace it with something people might actually want to use. Nobody uses it unless its for a troll build. One of the most useless IrI add ons in the game.

Exactly!
I meant the add-on's effect becomes basekit (and the add-on gets reworked)

It’s strange cause BHVR has said these aren’t simple addon tweaks these are basekit changes number tweaks not full reworks.
what will change on huntress? She’s honestly perfect it’s just those stupid ass hit boxes that make her annoying

She doesn’t need a buff though. I have no clue what they’re planning for her.

I have close to 30K+ hatches thrown and my biggest issue is with big maps like Badham or Lerys (cause it's hard to protect gens and it's boring for playing with antigens perks IMO, it's kinda sad for losing because of map design, not because you didn't outplay others in chase but that's just DBD in the end of the day).
The only thing I would do is buff/rework some addons to make a larger variety of addons, and make two addons basekit (Bandaged Haft and Shiny Pin), other addons would need to have number tweaks/reworks.
There should be fun addons applying Broken or Oblivious (even if it's like 20s) effects, I usually only play +hatchets and Oak Haft, hardly think the rest are fun to bring except two which is Iri Head + Wooden fox combo for indoor maps.

That’s why I think 80% hatchet holding speed could work. Indoor maps would be less of a problem although huge outdoor maps would still be a pain to travel across. And certain loops you can’t land a hatchet at are now more viable. Xenomorph can land a tail strike at any loop and he is 115 the whole time. And he can cross the map quick! They said the changes are basekit so I was wondering peoples thoughts on it.

That’s why I think a hatchet holding speed of 80% could be fine. Xeno moves at 115 while being able to hit over loops and he can cross the map quickly. They said the changes are basekit so I was thinking what they planned to do since she is unfairly held back by maps and a few certain loops.

You think it’s fine she has almost no power on indoor maps? Especially Lerrys?

They specifically said it’s basekit changes; I just would like help on indoor maps tbh. She gets most of her pressure from injuries and snipes but that’s not possible on indoor maps and certain outdoor maps.

That’s not an issue with Huntress, that’s an issue with indoor maps in general. A lot of killers get negatively impeded by them.
Buffing her to a point where she’d be good on Lery’s would make her overpowered on other maps. If anything it’s the maps that should be changed.

The only possible way to fix them is remove them at least for indoor maps; unless you make them all the same and they have no rooms. The fact that they have ceilings affects the Huntress whereas ceilings don't matter for any other killer. I think the only thing they can do is make the killers better or make it to where you literally can get those maps when picking those killers.

Does Wesker really do bad on Lerrys tho? I never struggle on that map with him. He's 115 after all and holding his bound doesn't slow him down that much so he can land hits at windows easy. And then use the long hallways for traversal. Not to mention having a large TR makes it easy to sneak up on people and pressure multiple people.

just 115% and reduce total wind-up from 3 to 2.5. She is not bad by any means but I often feel like i have to proxy camp and tunnel more then I would like to when playing her.

I was talking to someone else about how I'd like to see Shiny Pin made base kit. She's 77% movement speed when holding, 82% with the pin. Bumping it up wouldn't make her overpowered, most survivors don't notice pin is in effect but anyone who plays enough huntress will feel the difference when using it.

I imagine they will have it take 2 hatchets to take a health state, 1 with an iri add on that gives you only 2 hatchets.
Not adjust her number of hatchets, give her 115% ms, disable ability to hold hatchets within 32 m of hook, call it good.
Will never see a huntress again.
