What have they done to Legion?

I played this game 4 years ago until I stopped because of personal reasons. Why and what have they done to Legion? I used to main him but right now he's so godawful to play it makes no sense.

I liked his ability a lot back then because I could stab survivors a bunch of times but that's not possible anymore I go into a soft lock stun after stabbing them a second time? Even after I stab them I don't see anything no scratch marks or blood? I have to run to another survivor but my ability runs out?? His power is boring as hell now what's the point of his existence you might as well delete him from the game and give me shards so I can buy another killer that I might enjoy.

Utterly pointless. I feel bad for anyone who bought him with money. I feel awful for spending my money.

You just have to play him different now. Focus on using your power when survivors are in a close range. Your goal isn’t to down survivors every time you use your power. You’re focused on keeping them injured. You can still down with his power once you hit all 4 survivors. He is a little add-on reliant tho, Mischeif List is a must.

Is this really happening? Someone complaining that the most hated killer in DBD history is not the survivor Auto-DC machine anymore?

If bait, that was good one.

God, I haven't thought about release legion in years. He was objectively terrible for the game, I think you're alone in missing him.

I did not have a complain about release legion on my 2023 DBD forums bingo card, well done.

So, release Legion got changed because there was borderline nothing a survivor could do to last longer in chase vs them. So they got reworked to focus on stabbing everyone instead of one person repeatedly.

That's also why you get stunned if you double stab someone. You're not supposed to do that anymore and don't get anything out of doing that unless that is your 5th hit in the current use of Frenzy... at which point you'd down them.

The no scratch marks and blood is an artifact from a previous version of Legion/Deep Wound. From what I've heard, Deep Wound used to go down unless you were in chase, so Legion players would Frenzy stab and chase the survivor backwards to get an easy down. So the Devs made Frenzy hide those. Eventually they changed Deep Wound to not go down while running so I don't really know why Frenzy still hides scratch marks and blood.

The point of Legion is to be a control focused killer. They waste the survivors time with constant injuries and mending while they (usually) get their downs through M1 gameplay. I personally find that gameplan quite fun, but it is a vast difference from what I understand release Legion did.

I didn't spend money on them, but I did get and main them for a while. I've actually never played their release state.

    This.

I'll never the one moment back in 2018 where I asked a friend of mine how to counter Legion and he responded with a simple:

    "You don't".

Youre acting like going through a stun after hitting the same survivor a 2nd time is something new. Thats always been a thing, also he was never able to see Scratchmarks in Frenzy.

The state he is in now compared to before is not only better, but also A LOT more enjoyable for everyone involved.
