What if they just made Insidious the Lethal Pursuer of Undetectable?
Whenever you gain undetectable, it has an extra 5 second duration added.

A number of people have suggested this, but I don't know if that's a worthwhile effect. I made a suggestion thread a while back to add to Insidious a roundstart Undetectable effect, like Lethal Pursuer's roundstart aura read. so you can pretend to be a stealth killer at the start of the trial.

I'd personally love it it would be a niche perks for some killers and I love those kinds of perks that need the right killer to really see their potential.

Please do, my stealth merchant would fit it into her build.

well out of balance it would only apply to perks and addon effects much like how there are no basekit aura reading effects

I'd still fit it into my build. I run a lot of undetectable regardless.
If they barely hear my TR it only adds to the confusion, you see.

At the start of the trial you become undetectable for 120 seconds. The effect ends when a survivor is downed by the killer by any means.
When all generators are completed the killer gains undetectable until the exit gates are open.

Honestly I can't think of a better use for the perk than this. It's quite useless and very niche, but it also supports camping playstyles. Adding onto undetectable like Lethal would be fitting.

5 seconds doesn't sound like much but that could really be an issue with a killer like Skull Merchant and Wraith who can go in and out of stealth easily. If it only applied to perks then I don't think it should be too much of a problem. Maybe if it was 2 or 3 seconds would be more balanced.

Neat idea for a completely different perk.

Cool idea actually. Start the match undetectable for X time and increases the duration of undetectable effects by 5 seconds

That could be really fun, it'd still be a niche perk but it'd be much better than what it currently is.

I think if it were to apply to powers, it would only apply to Duration based Undetectable. So with Skull Merchant it would apply the extension, but Wrath and Ghostface wouldn't be able to use it, as there is no time limit/duration on their undetectable.

true but they might eventually add footstep sounds to skull merchant because it doesn't match with any other "stealth" killer designs

If insidious was the "lethal pursuer" of undetectable then it would apply to powers.

Insidious should be active for another 10s, after moving, then you could actually scare people.

My idea for Insidious has been give it a touch of Dark Devotion.
You stand in place to activate it, but rather than just turn Undetectable you "drop" your TR in the place you activated Insidious and it remains there for X/Y/Z seconds while you do your Undetectable thing.

Perfectly fine by me honestly. She may have terrible lore but I can't deny she's a fun stealth killer.

Lethal Pursuer doesn't apply to non-duration based aura reveals. That's what I was saying, not that it wouldn't affect them at all. For example, LP applies to the reveal on Hex: FtD, but DOESN'T apply to A Nurse's Calling because the former has a Duration of 2 seconds which can be extended by LP, but Nurse's Calling isn't duration based so LP doesn't affect it.
If Insidious worked similar to LP, it would only increase Duration based Undetectable. So for example, Skull Merchant's and Demogorgon's base kit undetectable would be extended as they only last a given duration (8 seconds and 3 seconds respectively). But Killers like Ghost Face or Wraith, whose powers aren't duration based, wouldn't be extended as there is no "duration" to extend.

Actually that's a pretty reasonable change. But are we talking just perks and addons or are we talking powers too here? Like wraith coming out of cloak or merchant dropping a drone.

Duration based, just like Lethal. Wraith wouldnt get extra time because their cloak is on demand, not timed )except for the Ghost addon iirc). Not sure how Dull Merchant works
