The mods on this forums need to be more strict
There are so many overly negative posts not only about other people but mostly about BHVR. There need to be harsher punishments for these kind of posters. You have the right to disagree but this is going too far.

I for one appreciate that BHVR allows people to (politely) trash on the game and the company.
I imagine it's gotta be tempting as hell to Iron Fist away criticism (whether said criticism is valid or not) and I respect that they don't.

I don't think that's true since some past events show they can be overly punishing. As long as the posts aren't overly vulgar or insulting then I don't see an issue

I wouldn´t trust a game company that instantly and harshly deletes critisism.
There are a couple of games on my wishlist, which i really would like to buy&play. BUT their forums are what you are asking for and the strong censorship reflects on a lot of negative steam recesions. Which is why i´m not spending any money on them.
Valid criticism isn´t something to be afraid of.

The mods do well keeping this asylum functioning. There a fine line between what is acceptable criticism/discussion and what is not.

You're new around here...
The mods have already deleted most of the members of 'Misery Squad,' so I think they're doing an OK job :)

Negative comments and feedback is more than acceptable on this forum - just having the positive feedback is not helpful in the slightest.
The moderators do a fantastic job at removing comments / posts that break our forum rules without censoring our players here - censorship would be terrible and not something we'd want in the slightest, we've been very clear on that since we set up these forums all those years ago.

This! A lot of the harsh critisism stems from the love people have for DBD. Some claim that its more like a toxic love or abusive relationship at times, but never the less, people are so passionate about this, because they love the good times they had with DBD and they want more of that.
Sure, every now and then we have this "doom and gloom", "now you have done it and killed your game" or "DBD is dying and no one cares" posts, but for the most part peeps criticise aspects that they want to see improvements in.
And about MMR: well, thats a big, touchy subject. I think that a lot of statements about MMR are true: it lead to more sweaty game, it leads to fairer matches, it keeps queue times in acceptable ranges, it raised the stress level, etc. But one of the hottest debated factoids is, if it started to (perceived or real) downward trend of DBD and the decline from its highest playerbase to what we got now or if it was just a coincident. Without going back to the old system we will not know.

Trust?=) I would get the hell away from the game developers who can't take constructive criticism. xD
One of the reasons I'm sticking to Behaviour is that they listen (read) the complains that players have, and trying to improve the game based on that.

Eh. I feel like the opposite.. sometimes the punishment for ‚minor‘ forum rule offenses feel too harsh as even small things can contribute to a life long ban and there is no remedy system.
like I got a warning for something I still do not understand and that couldn’t be explained to me after requesting twice from my side and now I am one step closer to life long band and I don’t even know if I might repeat it 🤷♂️
as to actually harassment of devs or other forum members/people in general, they actually are doing a great job as far as I have seen.

Another assym (Digital Video Disc Kappa) died because, as one of the many factors, their community and devs only accepted positive feedback, taking too long to make some crucial changes because criticism was seen as a very bad thing.
I think forums should be for that: poiting out how a player experience feels about a game. Behaviour job is to weight all of the feedback and discern which one is useful and those which are not (and thats not an easy task)

Honest feedback is the only really usable type, be it positive or negative, but they certainly need all points of view.
Also they and I realize many many posts here are written in the heat of the moment, and need to be seen as such. I do not envy them in how crazy it can get around here either.

I have about 20 years of forum moderation experience under my belt. Trust me, you don't want to be on a forum that just removes negative feedback. The amount of times ive had to jump on fellow moderator's cases for that is kind of sad.

I have a copypasta in my friend group that says the exact opposite.
Anyway no I disagree I like that bhvr are willing to let me be a hater sometimes

They actually do a very good job when it comes to the actually unhinged stuff. Usually I just catch a glimpse of it then it's gone, and I've never reported anything clearly against the rules and had it remain up for very long at all.
Of course I'm not talking about people that are clearly just a bit heated or an arguement that gets a bit cringe, I'm talking the really weird posts. Even in the less extreme cases they're usually pretty good at dropping a "Remember to keep it civil" comment while cleaning up the most flame baity stuff in the thread.

You need to be clearer in what you are saying. You talk about people having "the right to disagree, but this is going too far" .. what is? What comments are you alluding to, because by the phrasing of your Discussion point it could be anything including "I don't like this character's skin, because it looks ugly".
If you can point out what specific points, then this would help.
