The only thing this perk does is to let solo players know which pallets their teammates have droped. A good player knows all the pallet spawns anyway.

Also, think further. Lets say this perk gives mediocre players the opportunity to became good players (in terms of wins). Now imagine they will nerf this perk so those players wont run it anymore. That would bump killrates up even higher as they already are and this, suprise suprise will lead to killer nerfs.

Be careful with what you wish.

Of all the perks. Honestly windows is fine the way it is imo. Great beginner perk too. How would you even want it nerfed?

Why do you wish to make the game even less fun for the majority of the playerbase and more fun for the minority of the playerbase?

Yes, the majority of the playerbase does consist of casual players or semi-casual players, who're here to play for fun; Reworking or otherwise nerfing the perk would only promote the competitive mindsets and behavior by forcing people to remember the location of windows and pallets of all the million RNG spots.

Like, can you even imagine how much time would it take to memorize over few hundreds of vault and pallet locations while adding the RNG factor at the same time? Without a doubt, a few thousand hours, if we're not assuming that the player would spend over five hours just memorizing the layouts instead of playing the game.

No, thank you. Such would be my answer.

No, rather WoO needs to be basekit.

maybe its time to nerf killers red pathing? gens and hooks aura, scratch marks? its easy for killers to win.

it could probably get a range decrease. 32m is kinda stupid

This is an interesting idea, what if it was basekit at the beginning so you could see the layout, then whenever a pallet is dropped you see its aura for a few seconds?

Once Dead Hard and Made For This got their nerf, killer mains need to shoot at everything now

Waiting for the Premonition nerf because survivors knowing which direction the killer is coming is too op

If the only thing this perk does is let solo players know which pallets their teammates have dropped, then people can use Any Means Necessary instead… because that’s the actual perk that tells a survivor which pallets have been used.

God no, please don't. I don't need that yellow crap killing all the immersion and spooky vibes in my favourite horror game.

Personally, I'd run WoO more if it was disabled outside of chase. Technically that would be a nerf, I guess (though I'm not saying BHVR should nerf it).

Which will be exactly the next perk that has to receive a nerf after WoO, at least according to killer mains. Survivors will just switch to that one instead. The point is, with nerfing WoO they would hurt solos and not SWF.

    WoO is fine.

It doesn't boost survivor's stats, nor does it give them any real advantage in 1v1 apart from aiding game sense issue which doesn't affect killer's ability to deal with survivor within a tile anyway.

if you're good at killer, you should be able to zone them away from being able to chain tiles at some point anyway.

so im fine with WoO every single game, that means they're running one less perk for me to actually worry about.

I'm very happy that many survivors run a perk that does nothing besides letting them know something they should have learned already.

The alternative is them picking a perk that actually does something. Windows has my full support!

woo bridges the gap between good players and "bots". it's the maps that enable survivors to be "run-to-yellow-bots", and this is what needs the attention because without the perk the potential is still there.

As much as I hate a pallet too vault too pallet survivor it only helps them up into high MMR. Kinda like NOED. It gets them to a place they aren't good enough for. Pallets and vaults are just spots to moon walk and mindgame. Once you are in the top MMR knowing where a pallet or vault is doesn't help if you aren't a great mindgamer. You pathing and timing are vital at high levels and if you crutch your way too the top you are gonna end up drowning there. Let em have their perk. Survivors just lost made for this don't take 2 top level perks in a row.
