Pinhead needs a nerf
I'm surprised this isn't talked about as much as SM.
It is unbearable playing against him. Does he know where his box is? I just had one literally camp his box until we were all in chains twice.
I'd love to see SoloQ escape rate against him. I personally prefer SM. He's that rough.

Pinhead is the ultimate soloq basher, he's got a strong chase and requires coordination because of the box. All stuff that is easy to communicate but difficult to tell your soloq teammates
Simple solution: find a swf, cuz pinhead is fine as a killer
Only thing I'd change is original pain, it makes tunneling way too easy

Pinhead already received some massive nerfs.
First, the box no longer works with item related perks like Franklins or Hoarders.
Second, the camping his box strategy has already been nerfed as if Pinhead stands on the box it'll teleport elsewhere.
Third, there was a recent change in the patch notes to prevent chain hunt chains from interrupting solving the box.

No. But you can predict the box location. It's always away from all players. If you can memorize all locations throughout the match, you can play around the box very effectively.

He is very good at destroying solo players at best, with a good SWF, and keeping the box unavailable by solving it a lot, and keeping pressure on generators he's pretty weak.

It already takes 45 seconds to respawn when the box is solved and then it takes 90 seconds for the chain hunt to start after spawning. The box doesn't need to take longer to respawn than it already does.

Can you escape SoloQ against him? I have him but never played him. Maybe if I learn how to play him, I'll be better against him 😔

He's fine it just feels extremely bad how hard he can punish the entire team for the mistake of 1 player.

He's probably the best pub stomper of this game outside of Nurse, Blight and this version of Sadako.

Pinhead is honestly not all that amazing. He is a solo stomper because his box can really cause chaos but besides that he has some clear weaknesses.

I really just saw someone say pinhead has strong chase. He's 80% passive.

I'm a 100% soloq player and in terms of killers to hit, pretty happy to see Pinhead. Compared to other ranged killers, his ranged attack is not that hard to dodge and even when it hits doesn't guarantee a health state loss. The box has never struck me as that devastating. My biggest fear is the survivor who grabs the box to lure pinhead into a chase, but then isn't actually that good in chase.

I find vs Pinhead is fun. Not strong in chase, and have basekit slowdown. Hes how other killers should be. Long chase and long match is fun for both sides.
The problem is if he manage to tunnel 1 out. The remaining survivors cant even rush gen. 1 in chase - 1 on hook - 1 go unhook is already a lose for survivor. Adding the Box gives survivors zero chance.

Pinhead cannot see the Box Location's Aura.
Though, they can predict the spawn location, since it normally spawns the furthest (reasonable) distance from the Survivors and Pinhead; it's why having a few information perks on Pinhead can easily cause them to snowball by starting Chain Hunt after Chain Hunt.

I would argue they should shift some of his power from his box to his chase power. This way he would be less harsh on solo queue players compared to swf survivors.

Playing against Pinhead requires two sets of skills:
1) being able to dodge his chain similar to dodging deathslinger or huntress. This prolongs chase times.
2) Managing a second objective (the box) on top of doing gens, healing and rescuing.
Having at least one person who has knowledge of how to counter Pinhead makes the games more bearable even in solo queue.
To players who do not know how he works, he can seem quite oppressive.

What did Pinhead do? Coordination and Do-Si-Do are his worst enemy 😂.
He nearly dodged a bullet multiple times with the questionable nerfs he got already. Just a step above a gutted mediocre puppet that survs can completely dominate with little effort. His add-ons are all he has left. Leave my boy alone he's suffered enough.

He’s one of the Killers I wasn’t interested in purchasing, but I have learned from experience (especially in SoloQ, where you don’t know who your strong players are, if any) to get the box first and loop him for a few gens; then you should be good to go. Like with any Killer, just have to keep him distanced, juke the chains when he gets close, mindgame pallets ~ using them when necessary, and then create more distance, repeat.
