What do you guys think the developers will change about hillbilly?
heyy so as some of you might already know, the developers have released the roadmap for 2024 and as we can see, they will make some hillbilly changes, my question is, any thoughts on what they might do with billy?
i really wish they would bring back skybilly, spacebilly is not needed but skybilly would be so fun
any thoughts?

or a better question would be, what do you want changed with hillbilly, what are you hoping for?

Basically just his old addons back without the engravings stacking and overheat removed entirely. We could keep lopro, if really wanted although I think it is not really a healthy addon, as it creates loss lose situations.

Didnt they say overheats staying its just gonna be made "even more lax"? Unless thats them taunting before its ultimately scrapped. Also i think just a good addon pass. Maybe make something like his buckle basekit which specifically reduces his collision hitbox on objects (similar to how they did with weskers dash so he could still hit survivors but not run into everything) make him a little faster at dashing basekit so the engravings arent the end-all-be-all. Those are my few guesses. Please also make the scream and saw not asmr me the whole game. Just mostly slight basekit adjustments to improve overall flow. And addons.

1) Off-Brand Motor Oil base kit. His chainsaw is probably the loudest thing in this game and I always have to turn down the volume just to not go deaf. Quality of life options should neither be locked behind perks nor addons.
2) Heavy Clutch base kit or some kind of collision rework need to be done. Otherwise this killer will only continue to become worse and no amount of other changes will help him. Meaning, we'd basically have the same situation again only a short time later.
3) His old POV should be restored to allow players to actually see something when they rev the chainsaw. Actually bring back the old animations entirely.
4) His base chainsaw speed should be increased slightly and the Engravings adjusted accordingly. When addons become mandatory instead of optional, you know that you have a problem.
5) The overheat mechanic needs to go. It only serves as an arbitrary limitation to his mobility now (which he doesn't need, considering how bad his mobility is by today's standards on the current maps) and does not work to stop him from camping or anything else. So why is it still there to begin with?
6) His chainsaw's hitbox needs some adjustments. For some reason it is incredibly high but does not go low enough, which enables survivors to safely bodyblock him, if they know how.
7) His addons need an update. Most of them are terrible, some of them have no purpose anymore and the others are ok but not all that impressive compared to what other (sometimes stronger) killers have.
8) I would appreciate the return of Skybilly too but I have no hope in it. They had more than enough feedback to know, that this would not be appreciated by quite a number of players but went through with it regardless.

I really hope they increase his movement speed while charging his saw. That's the biggest thing that kills him at tiles. His entire gameplay revolves around a multi-step setup of A: hoping the survivor doesn't just drop the pallet, and B: getting the survivor to take 1 or 2 bad steps so you actually have an angle to curve. It doesn't scale well into higher level play. Billy more than any other killer is balanced as if the other side will always be terrible. I'm not sure why that is, but I think there's some bias internally. They really overrate his one shot ability. He has many of the same problems that the D and C tier M1 killers have. He doesn't have much if the other side doesn't mess up.

Obviously you'll have a gas tank to keep filled. If you're on the gas haven map, you'll have to go to the gas station first to fill up your chainsaw. If your on any other map... Good news, you won't have to worry about overheating.

Yes off-brand motor oil should be basekit, its so dumb that it is an addon, the chainsaw breaks my ears sometimes

A full return of Old Billy. No further adjustments, no nerfs or changes.
The golden child of killer balance never deserved a nerf. It is an excellent opportunity to fix that mistake.

I mean There is not really too much you can do with his movementspeed while charging the saw, because if you make him faster than the survivor he will get free zoning... So... maybe other things to focus on.

Revert all the changes they ever did to him (besides engraving add-ons).
3 years he has been in the dirt, if they can simply revert the changes then he will be good again. Also, I really hate the "roar" he makes when starting to sprint with his chainsaw, I don't know why but it just annoys me.

revert him. the overheat is a failed mechanic. and another add on pas would be good. sadly they wont.

Remove overheat and adjust the first person camera to be less janky / shaky.
Just before the Hillbilly rework he used to have a much different POV in first person - it was comfortable to play as. For some reason BHVR decided to rearrange the camera position when they changed the animations and it feels awful.

Hopefully less clunky, it's why I never picked him up. it's just disgusting.
