Has anyone been banned for tunneling?
I know tunneling isnt against the rules but I got reported by a ttv and his swf for tunneling , if I get reported for tunneling a lot could I get banned?

It's not against any rules. You can play however you like, as long as you don't use exploits, cheats or display bad manners. Tunneling is a strategy like every other, so it doesn't fall into any of these.
They can report you all they like but you will not be punished for simply playing the game.

No you won't be banned. They will be if they do a witch hunt on you or get hundred other to attack you.

They are not banning people for exploits. I reported a lot of them with video records but non of them is actually banned.

Are you sure about that? It's a reportable offense, so I'd expect them to act on it, if it happens repeatedly. On the first time I would understand they might be a bit more lenient (after all it's funny to find a new bug or whatever). But I can't imagine they don't do anything at all about it.

I am always getting report feedback if i reported cheaters. But i never got that after reporting exploiters.

Of course. There are some weirdos out there who report anything. Tunneling, camping, bodyblocking (both sides btw.), using strong Loops (got once reported for using Balanced Landing on Disturbed Ward...) and many other things.
For some the Report-Button is just some form of frustration release.

you wont be banned but please dont tunnel it wont help you get better but i dont mean stop instantly just try to ease into it its like smoking

Developers like to do ban waves, not ban 1 or 2 here and there. Just because they arnt banned YET, doesn't mean they won't be.

Saw a video of a streamer who would report people for "abusing looping mechanics". It was literally just looping. He'd file a report like EVERY MATCH.

I've been reported for all sorts of things - mainly the things you listed - but it was all years ago. I guess I just assumed people realized that reporting that stuff didn't work.

This thread is about whether OP would be banned for specific behavior rather than about tunneling itself. And also that SWF reporting OP for tunneling doesn't actually mean that he really tunneled because people love to report anything even though you didn't do the thing that you are accused.

I dont see it as very common. But people like this exist. And I can only imagine that they are doing this for years. Most people will porbably have realized that reporting this does not do anything, but there are still some who do it.
I have screenshots of a lovely conversation with a person I downed as Knight who DCed right after being downed. I let the other 3 Survivors farm, because of the early DC. And the person who DCed stayed around the entire time, just to tell me that I got reported for "you know what you have done". They were also saying that my Steam Profile is not legit and other things like that.
whenever you think you found the weirdest DBD-player, you will find someone even weirder.

I dont really know how people like this can actuall get viewers. When I watch DBD-Streams (and I rarely do this), I only watch chill streamers who dont complain or at least are only upset about their own mistakes.

I'm talking developers in general, not just BHVR. If there's a hack going around and you ban them immediately, it's like announcing HOW they were caught and they can alter the next hack to counter that. If you ban everyone in a wave... they kinda don't know what gave them away.
