Chucky Nerfed ALREADY!
I saw it coming. He just released and already got a huge nerf. I honestly feel like these bait & switch tactics aren't good for the game given the ptb should be addressing these issues. He's nerfed immediately but MFT lasted forever before the outcries got so loud.
Yes, I'm still upset about Freddy being gutted too.😭

Not a huge nerf at all. He's still a top four killer, just a tad less oppressive.
It was eliminating an exploit. They also didn't quite fix it. You can still get to 135 or so. Same thing that happened when they did the same thing to Blight. We know how Blight just plummeted after they took away his 180 flicks.

GASP! limited his ability to turn beyond 90 degrees while in Slice & Dice via players bypassing it by looking straight down first, turning 180, then looking back up again!

He never was top 4. Never. Not even close. A killer with an 18 seconds cooldown on their power (that does not guarantee hits) and no mobility does not get that high.
I tested him and the angle capped at about 90° (maybe 95°). That is not enough to use his Slice & Dice in any fun way. Blight can still do J-flicks and they are quite similar to how Chucky's 180°s worked too. Now Chucky can no longer do that though, which means he won't be able to hit you around corners, which is a big problem because he needs to charge his power and isn't even remotely as fast as Hillbilly or Blight, so the survivor will make it around the corner and "dodge" almost every time.
If they had to nerf him, then they could have come up with something else. But removing fun and utility from his power is the wrong way to do it. His flicks were what made him most fun for me and now that's gone. So, I won't play him anymore and I'll wait for a few weeks before I buy another killer because I genuinely want a refund.

You pretty much counter him like Billy now. Just make the edge of the loop/wall and it’s ggs. No reason to play him anymore, might as well play blight.

I played him a lot. He was really fun until now. I gonna give him a try when the event comes out today. If it really is that bad, I feel sorry, but....

Ok look: I am a killer main who enjoyed Chucky on the ptb (I didn't buy him yet) it was a ton of fun but let's face it: 180° turns are a bug, you leave the survivor with no option and when you are at the mercy of the killers mistakes then what's the point?

Play on PC with a controller.
Since his release, I never did a single 180, so not gonna make any difference.
But I can still hit them after they fast vaulted with his power, which feel illegal but oddly good

Nah you just meant we were not here and we did not agree with drop vaults which was not true for me. Can't talk for others tho. It was very annoying bug and i am glad it fixed.
It does not matter which side exploits it, bugs need to be fixed.

I don’t agree. It should not have been “fixed”. It shouldn’t have been a bug. I can 180 as intended with blight. Chucky, who has one dash, with an 18 second cooldown, and very obvious telegraphing of his power, should be able to hit a flick as well.

It's kind of a matter of what the devs think should be fixed vs what the game should embrace. The concept of LOOPING wasn't an intended feature, but rather than making the hitboxes between killers match survivors to "fix" it, they just went with it.

Well Blight's hug-tech also confirmed to be bug. So maybe they are going to fix his bugs too, we will see that. After PTB , things can change for Blight too.
I can't wait to see PTB only because of Blight. I waited long time for his day.
For Chucky; he should not be balanced around bug. If he needs help, they can buff him. But exploiting bug should never be option. Unless devs changes their mind and make it feature.

Am I the only console player who doesn't care at all when PC players get nerfed? 🤔 if I have cross play enabled then it seems only fair that PC users should have the same tools as me. Either give the 180 flick to both or cap it at 90 for both. I have played Chucky without a 180 because we on console didn't have it anyway and he is just fine.

Again, it shouldn’t be a bug. Blight’s hug tech and chucky’s flick should/should have been left as features, because they promote skill expression.

Sadly for you, I'm against this fixing too, Chucky wasn't very strong on the macro anyway. Now he's weaker in chase too
The only bugs I would like to see fixed are those regarding blight, but that's just for the pleasure of seeing blight mains on copium, not because I care about the bugs themselves

May i ask what motivates you to play overpowered addons on an already extremly strong killer? If i remember correctly, Blight is your main and you are like devotion 40. Whats the point?

It’s a valid question. I don’t run it to be “overpowered” or for easy wins. I run it because the fast paced gameplay that alch ring allows me to maintain. Going for crazy lethal rush hits is what is fun for me, and with alch ring I can rush all game with no cooldown.
Truthfully, anybody that doesn’t drop themselves by the time I get to 8 hooks, gets let out. I don’t really go for the kills anymore.
