Game Crashing and Freezing

Steam / PC as survivor, haven't tested as killer yet

Since the event started up my game freezes. I can hear game audio but the screen is frozen and will stay that way forever, the audio never changes it's just repeating whatever audio was playing at the time (survivor injury noise, killer sounds, etc.). I have to go to task manager and forcibly close the game which messes with Steam/DBD and makes me have to reload the game twice each time to fix it. This also gives me a time penalty as if I'm leaving matches in bad faith. Idk how to make this stop I just want to play the game :o(

EDIT: I let it sit frozen hoping it would eventually give me a crash report and it did

Same here, it seems to happen most often when alt-tabbing out.
