Thrilling Tremors deserves a buff
Thrilling Tremors does it's job but it's not really that good, the info it provides can be useful but it can also be a red herring, it's game delay isn't really that good, but I think there is a simple solution!
Thrilling Tremors
While carrying a Survivor, Generators that are not being repaired by Survivors are blocked by the Entity and cannot be Repaired.
The Generators stay blocked for 6/8/10 seconds after you stop carrying the Survivor.
This change makes the Perk better in several ways:
- When a Survivor leaves a Gen while you're carrying someone, that Gen gets blocked, trading information for game delay, yet this game delay also gives you information!
- The duration now depends on the carry time, if you want to block the gens for longer, carry a Survivor to further hooks! Also this unlocks potential synergies with carry Perks like Agitation and Iron Grasp!
- Removes the awful cooldown
- Makes the Perk simpler which is cool I think

Thrilling Tremors is the alternative perk to BBQ, trading off accurate information for slowdown.
The issue is that neither perk is used anymore, especially after BBQ being nerf and players adapting to playing without the information.

They should reduce the cooldown

I think people just moved on to much better alternatives to BBQ (which is easily countered by lockers since you can easily guess when it procs) like Nowhere to Hide or Ultimate Weapon.

I think they should remove it completely, if you reduce it too much then the cooldown becomes obsolete anyways, and if you keep it as it is currently then it weakens the perk too much.

I agree.
Personally i would just change the cooldown from 60 to 44. Because the cooldown is effectively 76 seconds because of the 16 duration, the cooldown only starts afterwards. Or they could just make the cooldown start immediately, either way same effect.
I think your design idea is interesting but i feel like it could be abusable with mad grit and i think you could spam the 10 second linger in some rare scenarios. I just feel like it could get out of control.

People still use BBQ, it's the 7th most used perk on night light and in my last 349 survivor matches Ive seen it 55 times, it was the 6th most used perk

I don't think it would be abusable tbh, if you have Mad Grit and you get any value from it then Survivors aren't doing Generators anyways (and if a Survivor doesn't leave a gen while you're carrying someone they can still work on said gen).
If you drop a Survivor you don't get any benefits from that really, you only give the Survivor 25% more wiggle progress, you could maybe carry a Survivor for a while, drop them right under a hook, wait 10 seconds, pick them up and hook them again for the next 10 second generator blockage, but you have lost so much time by that point that you have really just gave Survivors free progress on gens.

i think whole reason why cooldown is there is because a long time ago, peanits said that they do not want to power-creep perks. thrilling tremors is potencial power-creep to bbq so they kept the perk bad.
