My Attempt at a Nemesis Rework

Resident Evil is probably one of the most successful licenses BHVR has managed to get ahold of and they do not disappoint. The characters are pretty faithful and most of them either has a mixture of fun and unique perks. But that's not why were here, were here because of the big man himself.

The Nemesis in terms of viability is no where near the bottom and is still pretty faithful in game, but only when you really think about it.. but that's exactly whats wrong. From an outsiders perspective they wont necessarily be impressed about how Nemesis is represented.

With this rework I aim to solve this issue as well as making him more fun and interesting to play as and against, as well as making you feel as if you're truly playing as The Nemesis.

With all that out of the way, lets get to it.

NEMESIS-T02: PURSUER

A relentless bioweapon with enhanced speed and strength. Its aggression is unmatched and stops at nothing.

SPECIAL ABILITY: ROAR

Press and hold the Active Ability button to Roar. Unleashing a Roar makes all Survivors scream within a short distance, and Enhances his other abilities for a short duration.

By tapping the Active Ability button, The Nemesis can switch between Relentless Pursuit and Tentacle Strike.

SPECIAL ABILITY: RELENTLESS PURSUIT

Press and hold the Power button to charge Relentless Pursuit. Once fully charged The Nemesis travels at an increase movement speed, and can launch an attack using the Attack button which ends Relentless Pursuit. Enhanced Relentless Pursuit causes The Nemesis to cover even larger distances, as well as breaking pallets and breakable walls instantly without stopping.

SPECIAL ABILITY: TENTACLE STRIKE

Press and hold the Power button to charge an attack. Once fully charged, tap the Attack button to unleash a Tentacle Strike. Hitting a Survivor pulls them towards The Nemesis and causes them to trip, immobilizing them for a moment. Enhanced Tentacle Strike allows for the Nemesis to follow up with an attack, damaging the Survivor in the process.

All abilities share the same power gauge, if the power gauge is fully depleted it must be fully replenished before using any of his abilities.

Special Enemy: Zombies

Zombies roam the trial grounds in search of Survivors. Survivor's hit by a Zombie are put into the injured state, if already injured they suffer from Deep Wounds.

Zombies destroyed by The Nemesis' own hand refills a small percentage of his power gauge.

For as accurate as it may be to his character, i think turning Nemesis into another run fast killer would be kinda boring.

Also what would Nemesis even need a tentacle ability for if he can just use relentless pursuit to get a guaranteed hit on Survivors with seemingly no drawback anyway?

Relentless Pursuit is basically a mobility tool with an attack there for quality of life. The activation time and attack window (basically the attack only hits at the end at the end of the animation instead for the entirety of it) make it inconvenient to use it in the middle of a loop, and not with depleting the gauge for most of the time (of course this is all theoretically as I can't test it)

The tentacle is meant to be the main form of anti loop, but I made it specifically so it doesn't work on short loops since you cant pull a Survivor over walls obstacles (that includes windows and pallets). Its meant to be a displacement tool that forces Survivors off a pallet or window at a jungle gym or strong loop, but it still has a mind game aspect to it because of the charge time.

i don't think they have time to rework nemesis. maybe 2 years from now. there is just too many other killers that need changes before him.

Im well aware of that, these kinds of posts I just do on my freetime. Started writing it like a week ago and kept tweaking it until I was satisfied
