What perk do you want to see make a comeback?

What nerfed perk do you want to see bring back into the meta. It doesn’t have to be completely reverted, just a perk you liked using before. I wish Ruin and Spine Chill were meta again. Looking for the totem was fun imo and spine chill just had so much value.

Ruin of course. And Coh and spine chill can be better than current one.

Ruin. It got nerfed way too hard just becouse Tinkerer was too strong when combined with it.

I generally hate stopping by to kick gens so i usually ran Run. I kinda miss it.

For survivors... mhm, maybe DS. 3sec is just really more like a tiny setback rather than big hit to your pressure.

DS and Ruin. Both got a healthy nerf, and then a dumb nerf stacked on top of it. Just undo the dumb nerf.

For Killer, I would choose Hex: Ruin. By having a Perk which protects Generators whilst allowing the Killer to focus on chases, it allows more of the interesting parts of being Killer to flourish. I'd bump up the rate of reduction, but would make it so Perks such as Surge or Scourge: Pain Resonance cannot work in sync, to make sure it doesn't become too oppressive. Spending years doing Generators is not fun and would end up in long stand-offs.

For Survivor, it would have to be Decisive Strike. This would punish the Killer for tunnelling, working as a way of reducing one of the more frustrating aspects of Survivor. I'd bump DS maybe up to 6 seconds and have it so the activation time does not reduce in chase, in exchange for a shorter activation time and keep the current status of deactivating after all Generators are done.

I wasn't playing before its nerf, but I'd like to see Self-Care be a worthwhile perk in its own right and to not require Botany to be any good. Obviously it's good for the team that I have to bring botany along, but it's still half my perk slots being used up just to make another perk be viable and even then, it still sucks against Sloppy Butcher.

I also miss the visual indicator that used to be on Spine Chill (the one they removed after adding the visual terror radius). It was useful for gauging the direction and distance of the Killer and it had some mind gaming utility at certain loops. Wouldn't touch the perk now though.

Hex: Ruin needs to be reverted.

DS and Ruin from me too.

Both got a perfectly reasonable change and then an additional finishing blow to make the pickrate go down. Conspicious action and endgame disable was fine for DS, Ruin could be fine with one of its changes but both at once? Nah.

I want hit validated, invulnerable dash DH back where you'd hit the survivor, they'd scream, and you'd wipe your weapon at the same time as they dash forward while invulnerable without actually going down. That was peak.

It doesn’t have to be completely reverted

Hell yes it does! Those are the good stuff, my friend.

    Here we go:

    -Ruin

    -BBQ

    -Thrill of the Hunt

    -WGLF

    -Remember Me

    -Decisive Strike

    -Self-Care

    -Spine Chill

    -Balanced Landing

    -Iron Will

-Borrowed Time (I swear no one uses it anymore)

And if I've forgotten anything, someone please remind me later.

P.S: I wrote this while listening to Holding Out for a Hero and this felt epic.

Totems in general need a comeback. COH, Ruin, Thrill can all make a comeback if they made buffed them slightly.

COH I don't know much about, tbh, never liked Boons.

But Ruin and Thrill? Those two suffered unnecessarily.

    Ruin.

Definitely not a full revert to old COH, but it can be buffed or reworked in some way to make it useable again.

I don't wish it was meta, but I NEED them to revert Pharmacy's nerf. Loved using that for chest builds and unlocking archive challenges, now it's pretty much useless.

Wouldn't some of these be nerfs?

WGLF, Remember Me, and Borrowed Time were all buffed iirc. I'm a little less confident on Remember Me, I know it was buffed semi recently but I don't remember if it had a prior version to that which was stronger in some way. WGLF had its BP removed but gained an additional effect, so reverting that is nerfing it, and BT is only not used because it became basekit- the actual effect of the perk was buffed comparative to the way it was before.

WGLF is without a doubt just a buffed version of its self if you don't count the BP gain it used to have.

Remember Me's original version before EGC was having 6 stacks at max with each stack adding an extra 5 seconds. In terms of time it is weaker when compared to its original version, but it does now work with special attacks where as before it did not

BT in its current form is probably the 2nd strongest iteration of it, the difference is its no where near as necessary

Remember Me needs 30 seconds again.

WGLF and BBQ for bloodpoint gains.

And I am actually thinking about the BT that protected both survivors, but can only be used once per trial.

  • jesterkind
    jesterkind Member Posts: 7,832

Fair enough, I forgot about original BT. I think that'd still be overall worse than the version we have since that version can be used on every unhook and has a secondary effect now, but I did forget about it.

WGLF would just be flat weaker, if you revert it. If you just add the BP gain back, that'd be a buff, but it wouldn't be a reversion either. Same for Remember Me, if you just give it back those extra few seconds but take away the special attack buff, that's overall weaker, and if you keep the special attack buff it's not a reversion.

  • GeneralV
    GeneralV Member Posts: 11,292

Fair enough, forget I said reversion for Remember Me and WGLF.

We give Remember Me 30 seconds again and the ability to work with special attacks.

Give WGLF the bloodpoint gains, but don't change the current effect.

And BT can be kept as a reversion because I think the original was a better perk overall, and it would work well if it was brought back to the game.

Bring the BP bonus back to BBQ

  • LordGlint

I would go with Ruin and Spine chill. Spine chill is COMPLETELY pointless now and ruin is so weak that people don't bother looking for it, cleansing it only if they happen to stumble across it.

i get why they nerfed it because it just gave you free vault speed and the killer couldn't do anything about it. Atleast with resilience you have to take a risk by staying injured
