Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Large Maps are still a huge issue in DBD

Pointing out the most recent maps released, Toba landing, and Nostromo Wreckage, they are some very very large maps with really strange high wall tiles that make it a guessing game for both sides on where everyone is in a chase.

This is still the case for maps Like Thompson House/Rotten Fields which hasn't been touched. (Rotten Fields is the worst of them).

I think these maps are otherwise fine gameplay wise, they just need a size reduction with a little loop rebalancing. (Although in the past when this was done, the pallets were moved closer together and super easy to chain as survivor, so it would need to be thought out as to not make a free 5 gen chase).

I think honestly maps like asylum and garden of joy are far worse for size and tile strength. Those 2 maps you mentioned are actually fine for the most part (Toba however, does have a lot of clutter with trees etc which makes using certain powers a massive pain).

Nostromo is not that large at all, it’s perfect size in my opinion since the gens are mostly in main building area, the sides are very limited access into the inside of the ship… Loops are kinda fair too, with good pallets and also way way way worse pallets and random C walls. Toba is another story tho.
