EAC detect Dead By Daylight when launch it on linux with bottles(wine gui).
I am using epic game version and verified the game. I tried delete Easy Anti Cheat folder and verify again but it didn't change anything. I didn't touch the game files and just installed this game on fedora linux. I am using this bottles settings and assure that all the dependencies neccessary installed.

Are you opposed to using the Steam flatpak? That's how I'm currently running DbD on Arch. Same GE Proton version.

Ah I gotcha. I had to run a really goofy setup to get it to run through Epic. It has been a while, but I think I used Heroic Launcher to launch the Epic version. But it was a pain. I suspect you're going to need to copy the EAC folder into two places, because it's not seeing the EAC directory in the expected spot. Your set up is going to be a bit different because you're using Bottles, but the same principle should apply here. Copy the EAC directory from /home/Games/DeadbyDaylight to your Bottles directory

Hello,
I have a similar result with the Epic Games version of the game. The proton EAC runtime doesn't recognize the Epic Games version of the executable. It was the opposite (Epic Games version working with proton and Steam version failing) before they fixed it for the Steam Deck validation. I guess the Steam and Epic Games version executable binaries are different and they need to either fix the EAC module to recognize both, or ship a non-proton EAC runtime with the EGS version.
Regards.
