Honestly for killer this trade offer is not worth it pain res and dead mans are very helpful. Buckle up and ftp is just really annoying but you can just wait 10 seconds and then down them.

Does Pain Res. even work with Dead Man's anymore?

Yes it works.
There was a short period where it didn't. But then because of Merciless Storm they restored the interrupt of pain res so that the combo worked together again.
They nerfed DMS to 30 seconds from 45 because of this though.

It does, but it's not as effective as it was before since SH: Pain Res only has 4 Tokens.
Though you can pull some nutty stuff using Ultimate Weapon and Dead Man's Switch.

50/50 for the most part here. As a survivor I agree. I don't even run buckle up and FTP. As a killer, I don't run this combo so yes but I know other killers who do will disagree as buckle up + FTP is just really annoying but usually not detramental.

No need. The community ask about ftp/buckle in the reddit Q&A. The devs acknowledge the problem but it probably at the bottom of the to do list. People don't even use this strong combo for some reason so it probably remain a low priority change.

These two perks slots are not worth it. It may be usefull on a few killer and that's all.

In my experience
Pain + Dead happens in like 3 out of 5 games
Buckle Up + FTP happens in 0.3 out of 5 games

the player base is way to large to offer trades like this anymore. Maybe if it was 2016-2017

Absolutly. Both combos are dumb and overpowered, so we should get rid of them.
