Why is it always the events?
I’m reposting now that I’ve calmed down a bit.
Why is it that during events we get the worst players? On survivor side we get killers that just slug, tunnel and camp the whole game and on the other side we get the hardcore top 5% SWF who finish the game before you even get one down?
It really annoys me cause I haven’t been having fun with this game for awhile since the alien chapter. I really like this game but sadly I’m growing annoyed and tired of it.
Im not completely leaving but I’m quitting till the new January update comes out. I just want to play with a fresh new update and new features

It's OK to have a break. Which is what I'll do once the 3rd page of the event is completed. I had enough of the quality of matches.
To be honest I would expect the opposite to happen: an event is always exciting and I would imagine a lot of folks on break are pulled back in so in this great mix of players the MMR can work well.

Ppl complain that other people do their objective instead of screw around with snowballs for 3 weeks.

You surely wont play against the top 5% teams.

And I get annoyed when people don't do the objectives and mess around with snowballs the whole game. Never going to please both crowds with one queue.

Must have been quite the surprise for them. :)
What characterises my matches is that people just use snowballs during chases so not much time is wasted. And those doing the same gen have some fun after completing one. Silly business kept to a minimum.

Problem is the event is kinda uninteresting and the matches have been so bad and on Hawkins one spot on the map screwed me over and made me write the original post. The winter prizes are honestly not interesting

I hate Hawkins. Every part of it.
Event cosmetics are OK-ish but only when page 3 finally unlocks.

If you are finishing matches without a single down, you need to improve or your MMR is just heavily screwing you.

If you're finding the game more annoying than fun then yeah its time to do something else for a bit.
I don't tend to play during a lot of events either, not because they annoy me, but the whole Christmas thing is a bit immersion breaking and I play DBD for the horror/slasher theme.
So I'm filling my game time with Age of Wonders 4 and evil genius and the occasional round of fall guys/MWO. I'll return to the fog when its back to its usual self.

Mine have actually been fine. Over the past few days I've had no slugs, one proxy camping killer who didn't tunnel, and one tunneler who I'm pretty sure (from what I could see from my gen) only tunnelled because the unhooked person was the one they happened to come across next anyway. Having said that, I'm probably gonna get a terrible game now haha

It’s the MMR cause before the event I was winning every game I only lost twice when Chucky came out. But then all of the sudden I’m facing god tier survivors then I get screwed over by map RNG

Idk what it is. My games have been filled with survivors giving up, slugging, folks throwing matches :(
I had one guy harass me in chat and call me a bunch of names because I was healing my teammates fast. Tired of being an odd balls mental punching bag. It's creepy!

Speaking of getting the worst players...
Here we can see the Plague and her super-fun and engaging gameplay:
And here we can see her doing it again:
Truly outstanding.

This is a weird Phenomenon i've had playing the game the past 4 months or so, I will get the sweatiest of sweats as killer but as survivor i will get the worst of the worst. It really makes no sense to me.

same thing had been happening to me too except it’s only been happening since last week

I've had two of these matches where the survivors throw themselves at me as soon as I hit Tier III on Myers.
It's incredibly awkward and annoying simultaneously.

Maybe you just need to warm up a bit more. I myself have gone against literal comp survivors and even if I do not win I still down a couple of people. The game is literally designed so you will down people.

Played against bots and it’s helpful cause it gets me better at killer

It's the events and whatever they did to the MMR matchmaking. This is by far the worst event as far as participation and toxic game play. I have never DC'd until this event. I am so sick of being pelted with snowballs for no reason on both sides, teammates doing nothing, being matched up with people that makes no sense. I have been playing less and not even looking forward to it. Just want to collect the items and be done with it. It is mostly players that just try and get people to DC and the DEVs for not enforcing boundaries.

Idk why they all sweat their bums off and play like someone's life is on the line. Its embarrassing, really embarrassing. I guess they take it way too seriously. I just turn it off and do something fun :)
It honestly gives me migraines so painful that I've got to take some serious medication for and no game is worth that! It's so toxic and nothing is done to circumvent it. So I take matters into my own hands and spend my short life elsewhere.
Not worth it, nope. Do not pass go do not collect 200 dollars lol.

Yeah miserable event tonight. Got whooped twice on solos so thought ok, I ll go play Oni and whoop some survivors.
4 games as killer v navy seals. Trying to play as Oni on console on RPD followed by the Game, opponents on coms, awful lag (players are litterally teleporting)
Played 4 lost 4 got 2 kills. Last game, 2 downs, one into a flashbang, the next its a pallet stun. As solo survivor, my teams always get thrashed. No other game winds me up as much as dbd.

Bots can be both good or bad. The main issue with bots is they have literal wall hacks lol. I mainly use them if I want to just practice a mechanical skill killer like blight or wesker.
