I’m curious about how other people feel about trickster
Ive seen some complaints but I can’t say if those are just survivors with biased opinions or what so that’s why i’m starting this one. Me personally I absolutely despise going against him he’s just too fast for a ranged killer and if your anywhere without a pallet and tall wall to loop your dead, there’s one add on too I don’t know what it’s called but it makes his blades ricochet, that add on I feel like turns the player into a spray and pray type. And there’s not much counter play, at least with huntress or death slinger you can crouch and avoid their shots and it’s not detrimental to you because they get slowed when aiming or winding up. I can’t say anything on playing him because I don’t have him unlocked and most likely won’t just because of how unbearable he is to vs currently. Curious to know if people are also on the verge of dcing when they see him in game.

He has precious little counterplay, which ultimately boils down to
Are you at a high wall structure?
If yes, you live for a slightly longer amount of time but ultimately still die quickly due to his 4.6 m/s.
If no, you die quickly.
Also, you're getting camped lmao enjoy

Rework killed any enjoyment i had playing him. I Main him and artist usually but idk just sad.

I think they should revert the changes and just collect feedback before touching him again.
He got killed for many people like Sadako for me with the rework. Changing a whole character to make him more appealing for people who didn‘t enjoy the character before is just wrong.

Literally the average trial against Trickster.

I hated playing against him before, I hate playing against him now, and I hate playing as him because he still feels awful to aim with on console.

One of the most hated killers for a good reason. His counterplay is severely lacking, even worse since the recent buffs. The only "counter" is a high wall structure, otherwise you just die. Dodging blades is nearly impossible and not even rewarding if you manage to do it. Dodge one and you get hit by 2 others. Also he's one of the better campers, which many trickster players will gladly do from the very beginning.

My thoughts on him: he's always been a miserable experience by design, no amount of tweaking will change that
I'm not a "survivor main", as if that's relevant

He's... kind of cool? Aesthetic wise and lore wise I do actually like him. Cool cosmetics, too. His power is a different story, though.
The name 'The Trickster' stems from his power being built around trickshots. However, that concept was thrown away when the way to play Trickster is to backrev survivors, spam knifes at them and down them as fast as possible rather than doing cool shots like they tried to build Trickster to be.
What they could do is make ricochet part of his base-kit somehow. Make it so ricochet hits add an additional +0.5 laceration bonus, but also make it so that you can't ricochet from the ground (they will instantly break on the floor so that the extra laceration can't be abused by throwing knifes on the floor then bouncing right on the survivor). Hear me out on this one: the aura of where the ricochet would go would be shown while winding up blades, similar to Pinhead's gateway aura/Nurse's blink zone add-on. Finally, make Trick Blades add an additional ricochet.
But first the ricochet needs to be made more consistent because of how bonkers it is right now. I feel like this change would separate him from Huntress a lot more and make him more interesting to go against since Tricksters will try to go for cooler shots, allowing for more room for counterplay for survivors, and also increase his skill ceiling big time.
For compensation, make it so that Main Event fatigue begins when going near a hooked survivor, and disable the ability to use Main Event 12 meters around a hooked survivor.

Ricochet add-ons already give an idea of what he would be like to verse, and it turns a miserable experience into an excruciatingly painful one cuz now not even braking line of sight helps (and you want to buff that aspect? )
Let's not buff/rework again this failed concept please. Nerf some of the most annoying aspect and let him rot into oblivion please

I'm a survivor main. I hate going against him. For comparison, I enjoy going against Nurse so no bias here. I just plain hate going against Trickster.

Miserable experience to play as and go against.

He’s very colorful. Yes, very colorful. A colorful killer. He’s not bad, but he’s not good either.

I've been playing him a lot since the rework and sometimes feel bad for the people who have to go against me. They took an already annoying killer and made him much worse to go against. Aiming the knives is incredibly easy now that recoil has been removed. Not that I ever had a ton of issues since I am on PC. I get downs significantly faster than I did before the rework and there usually isn't anything the survivors can do about it. Main event in particular is way too strong at the moment. Especially when you use certain addons. Overall he's just a terrible killer to play against and I really don't know why they reworked him over some other killers. The amount of people who just give up when they realize which killer i'm playing is definitely more noticeable than it is on the average killer. I don't feel like he is oppressively strong but that doesn't make him fun to go against.

They were to make him even more disgusting to deal with than he already was before.

issues with playing against him are completely unchanged. He will ether slowly in a handful of knives in or just instagib you depending on the tile

I didn’t really notice much of a difference when I last played against him a few days ago, whatever changes were made for him I don’t find them to be all that drastic.

He's fine, just stop crying and start countering it seems that the survivors only want killers that are lopable and can't do kills, literally the trickster was stronger in his power before

Fun as #########, but I doubt he's any more fun to play against compared to pre-chucky patch
