Unable to start chase: hack or a bug?
Just had a match with a Jake who I couldn't start chase with. Not in the sense that he was too far away just like while chasing him the chase music wouldn't start or any sorta chase related stuff like bloodlust or M&A fov. It was like I was just walking normally with a survivor in front of me. Even when I hit him chase still didn't start. Nothing else was inherintly suspicious about the match at least on my end like no obvious omega flashlight or speed hacks (though small ones maybe I don't really know speeds well enough to gauge) then again DBD is known to be a bugged mess quite often so has anyone seen anything simalar before?

There's a bug like that. Very rare one. Usually, from the survivor perspective, beside lacking the chase sound, there would just be the heartbeat without the tense proximity music.

I’ve recently just experienced this with hag, I think it may be a hack because I specifically couldn’t start chase against this certain Meg. Everyone else was fine.

Who were you playing as? I had this happen to me yesterday as a Survivor against The Plague.

This is a bug currently and from my experience theres no known cause
So far every time Ive seen it happen the killer had some way to go Undetectable, whether it be their power, perk, or an add on.
Most times this isnt an issue al though it does matter if you have a perk tied to chase, and the most extreme case Ive been on the receiving end of is Pig with a trap on.

I just had this happening yesterday, but only on a single survivor. I ran this person for a good minute on shack counter glockwise just to see if entity would block the window. Nope.
So i am not sure if its a bug or a cheat, because it was only on this one survivor somehow.
