How many new players know that, while crouching, the phantom traps do not trigger?

Who knows that the Spirit phases at 176%, Hillbilly runs at 230% and the Nurse blinks at 300% speed?

How many people are aware that the killer's FOV is 87° wide and is increased by 15% from Shadowborn 3?

Who is able to calculate the healing speed resulting from SelfCare + Botany Knowledge + Spine Chill + Emergency Medkit + Coulrophobia + Thanatophobia + Dying Light + Sloppy Butcher?

What is the ordinary probability of triggering a Skill Check working on a Gen in the Real World and in the Dream World?

Can you calculate if the major lunge belongs to Wraith, Myers 3 or the Doctor?

Does anyone know the depth of the visual field, that is the maximum distance of visibility of a character, in Mother's Dwelling or Gas Heaven with the Murky Reagent?

What is the maximum hearing distance of a survivor searching a chest or of the Myers' breathing?

I could go on and on ... I ask the great developers (@not_Queen @Patricia) to insert a detailed encyclopaedia of all the mechanics into the game, in a special section or in the advanced captions of the characters: the Wiki are useful, but it is not clear from which sources they draw certain knowledge, and in any case they are not official and not always adjourned (especially those written in a language different from English). Thank you very much and in advance! Aside this, what a brilliant Plague! Yeah, really awesome!

P.S. This heavy bold is absolutely involuntary. @Peanits I take advantage of the situation to report you the bug...

If the Wiki does not lie, following the 2.6.0 patch, in both "Monitor and Abuse" and "Shadowborn" the generic adverbs will be replaced by precise numerical values of the FOV increase. It's excellent news, a first step, towards maximum clarity for the benefit of the most savvy users, who are not satisfied with vague captions, but want exact parameters to study in order to ponder and accurately build an optimal playstyle, or simply desire a deeper knowledge of the game mechanics.

    deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com is official.

The math on how to calculate interaction speeds or whatever is pointless when people can't do math themselves. In another thread earlier today, there was a guy who said 0.25 c/s is 0.25% of a generator, which is absurd. Even if they had the equations, most people clearly lack the knowledge to put them to use.

@Orion The fact that some people are unable to use that information correctly is not a good reason to deny it to everyone. What I ask is to have, within the game, without having to switch on the PC and browse the Wiki, analytical tables on the various mechanics: those who do not understand them will continue to play as before, but who has the curiosity to investigate, for example, how and to what extent the Hillbilly's add-ons impact on the maneuverability of his racing chainsaw will be satisfied.

If I give you the base curvature radius of the Hillbilly's chainsaw, followed by the curvature radius with certain add-ons, would you be able to figure out how that will actually play in the game? I would, but that's me.

The majority of people have no use for most of the information you're talking about because the majority of people wouldn't understand it. This would be an unnecessary addition to the game that wouldn't benefit anyone.

@Orion I respect your point of view, but I do not agree with the flattening down, the exaltation of mediocrity as a reference standard: who has the desire to learn more, who wants to dig deep into the mechanics of a game they love, should have the means to do so. The developers already have these detailed tables: it's about making them available in the game, either in a separate section or as a substitute for the classic captions ... do you know, in Windows, the simple calculator / scientific calculator alternation? Simple, trivial text full of numbers and descriptions, that's what I ask: something easy to add and not harmful to anyone (but very useful for some).

And to add to that: you obviously vastly underestimate the work-load the implementation and maintenance of such an in-game encylopaedia would pose. The devs do not have the time for that. There's a reason only very few people are seriously working on a Wiki most of the time and why most games do not feature an in-game version.

You're seriously underestimating the amount of knowledge one would have to acquire to fully grasp every single piece of information. Hell, even just one piece of information. I see you neglected to answer my question about the Hillbilly's curvature radius, so I can only surmise the answer is that you wouldn't understand it. What's the point of information that nobody understands nor can use?

@DocOctober The Devs have these tables and use them to develop new content or to adjust balance issues: it's a matter of publishing this material in game, they don't have to write anything new... copy and paste, that's it.

@Orion I don't have to give an account to you of my knowledges or degrees or scientific skills: if I ask for an encyclopedia, there will be a reason, won't I?

Both of you. I don't pretend to know everything, every single line of code: I'd like to know the exact effect of Mother-Daughter Ring, for example. In short, replacing adverbs with defined quantities would be 80% of the encyclopedia.
