I don't think there's been any word of whether this chapter is original or licenced, only that the last two would be licenced (from Anniversary stream).
Alan Wake is super likely because flashlight (one of his weapons) and paper (he's a writer).

I know it's just a teaser but that doesn't look terribly interesting. We have a flashlight, some slightly bloody papers and what I think is either handcuffs or a magnifying glass behind the flashlight so it seems like we're getting some sort of cop or detective character which like why? We already have 10,000 licensed ones lol.

Yeah, i've been paying attention they haven't said anything about this survivor chapter really. I'd be kinda disappointed if it's not alan wake at this point because the video and image look very similar.

We dont know. There have been talks about Chapter 31 being original, but nothing has been said about the Midchapter-Patch and the Survivor in it.
Alan Wake is totally a possibility. And not a bad character at all.

So I have no idea what Alan Wake is and in light of research of it and not seeing anything saying whether the survivor is original or licensed, it could very much be Alan Wake which sure I guess, not that interested in the character but maybe the perks will be good at least.

it is a game that plays like a movie. You play as a character Alan Wake. I believe there are two games. Alan Wake 1 is first game and Alan Wake The American Nightmare is game 2. The distinct aspect of Alan Wake is that you are trying survive a zombies apocalypse but zombies in that game are protected by darkness, The only way for you to kill them is to Shine a flashlight at them to shoot them. So think of it like old Wraith Lightburn mechanic.
I suspect that Alan Wake will have some perk related to flashlights or be able to trigger flashlight blind effect.

I say Alan Wake Confirmed! Could be many other character, but the post is so heavy on flashlight. Also Alan Wake 2 released not long ago. Plus he will be a perfect character to the DBD world.

I can't say I'm too excited if it is, since I don't know anything about Alan Wake. I hear it's a good game but as far as I know not an especially popular one. I guess I should pick up the first game to see what all the fuss is about. We've not had much in the way of teasers so far, which makes me think it might be more likely to be a licensed Survivor.
If his perks are all about flashlights though, then I'm not going to get much use out of them. I couldn't use a flashlight to save my life.
Are those handcuffs on the table? If so, could it be Rick Grimes from the Walking Dead? (Edit: no, I can see now it's a magnifying glass).
