New Killer "The Ritual"
I present to you a new killer:
THE RITUAL:
Powers
Reign of Darkness:
The map is tainted in darkness. Darkness will strengthen you while light is weakening you. In the darkness you gain the undetectable status effect and haste. Each survivor starts with a candle. Ancient candles can be retrieved at sacred shrines.
Survivors can perform a ritual at a sacred shrine to remove the darkness temporarely.
Silent Whisper
While close to a lightsource you can perform 'Silent Whisper' to disable the lightsource.
Power explanation
Natural light, candles and shrines:
There is no natural light on the map anymore, each survivor starts with a burning candle in their hand. Map dependent objects like firebarrels and electric light as well as TV's will still emit light. Light emitted by objects of the map is by default emitting strong light in 4 meters directional, medium light in 8 meters and weak light in 12 meters.
The default candle lights up a perimiter of 8 meters with strong light 16 meters with medium light and 20 meters with weak light.
Ancient candles can be retrieved at one of the 3 sacred shrines scattered accross the map. They will start with 2 burning ancient candles. If the shrine does not contain an ancient candle anymore it will turn into a normal shrine and after 30 seconds another random shrine with at least one candle remaining will become ancient (it will only have 2 candles if there have been 3 previously).
Candles recovery rate is one candle every 50 seconds. Ancient candles will not recover if put on the ground. This means that there cannot be more then 4 ancient candles outside of sacred shrines at a time.
Normal shrines start with 3 candles. Ancient candles have a range of 8 - 16 - 20 meters. It's equal to normal ones so the killer doesn't know if it's an ancient candle or not. Ancient candles have engravings which are going to glow brighter if The Ritual is getting closer.
All candles are burning for 75 seconds only. If you run for a consecutive of 30 seconds the candle will get blown out by the wind of running. Walking will revert the timer by 1 second per second walking. (25 seconds running + 10 seconds walking and then running again means the candle will last 40 seconds in a chase). Only an ancient candle won't be blown out in chase, as it is linked to The Ritual. If a candle is blown out by this or the 'Silent Whisper' the survivor will scream and reveal his location. A candle can be lit by performing a 'light up' action while ducked (takes 3 seconds).
Candles can be put on the ground like other items. However darkness is consuming so if there are more then 6 candles lit (candles on the ground + candles carried by survivors) the entitus will be angry and all candles will go out.
You can restock your candle at one of the 3 sacred shrines or one of the 4 normal shrines. They will emit light from the burning candles and can be found that way. Shrines emit strong light in 5 meter radius, medium light in 10 meter readius and weak light in 15 meter radius.
Candles will be lit automatically if you run into a firebarrel. A sacred candle disabled by the Silent Wisper will turn into a normal candle.
Franklins demise will not be able to slap the candle out of your hand.
Effect of light on this killer:
Runes engraved in the body of the The Ritual will start to glow when exposed to the light of ancient candles or sacred shrines. They get brighter the closer he gets.
The Ritual is gaining undetectable status effect and a 25 % haste status effect while in the darkness.
The closer he get's to a lightsource the slower he becomes. Weak light slows him by 5 % medium light by 15 % and strong light by 25 %.
Ancient candles will slow him down by 35 % if the candle is on the ground.
If the killer is in a 3 meter radius of the survivor while a candle lights up and covers the killer in strong light, the killer suffers from 40 % hindered status effect for 3 seconds and the runes on his body will glow in that time too.
Flash lights will count as medium light.
Silent Whisper
Silent Whisper can be performed every 4 seconds youre standing still while being exposed to medium light or stronger by pressing M2. Map objects are not emitting light for 80 seconds that way. Everything emitting light in a 18 meters radius will turn dark / go out.
Candles have to be lit manually by the survivor again or by running into a fire barrel/another survivor with a burning candle. Light follows the rule of natural physics so if blocked by a tile it doesn't count as light at all, if blocked partially it turns strong light into medium light, medium light into weak light and cancels weak light. That being sad, Silent Whisper can disable flash lights for 80 seconds as well if somebody shines the light of a flash light while the killer performs Silent Whisper. The light of normal shrines can be taken with Silent Whisper but they will ignite again after 35 seconds.
Light can be reflected like it does from all objects. Light reflected by a wall (meaning it hits the wall at the door for example) will also tone down its strength. This means that the killer is exposed to medium light if a candle is for example in the killer shack and the light is reflected by an edgemap wall behind the shack even if there is no line of sight to the candle. This can help you in chase but also means the candle can be affected by 'Silent Whisper' without you even noticing the killer is nearby.
Performing a ritual:
Two or more survivors with ancient candles have to meet at an sacred shrine and can then perform the sacred ritual. This will emit a thin beacon of sacred light into the sky which will grow bigger when the ritual is close to being finished. It requires two ancient candles to perform the ritual. Each additional survivor can help with a default candle too.
Performing a ritual takes 20 seconds with another survivor, 14 seconds with 3 survivors and 10 seconds with 4 survivors. The only hint for the killer that a ritual is being performed (without addons) is the beacon emitted by the shrine. The ritual can be interrupted by the killer by stepping into the light of the sacred shrine and attacking a survivor. This however will stun the killer for 3 seconds.
Once the ritual is completed the beacon will rapidly grow (2 seconds animation) and the map will be back to normal afterwards, means no darkness anymore. All shrines will turn to default shrines and all candles carried by survivors will be automatically depleted. All candles in the shrines will no longer burn. If picked up in daylight they will also not burn.
The killer will get stunned when daylight hits for 4 seconds (means if he carries a survivor at that time the survivor gets off). The killer looses the undetectable status effect and the haste status effect in daylight.
Daylight lasts for about 75 seconds. The seal which banned the darkness will then break and darkness will take over the map again. The killer can release the darkness earlier if he is able to find the sacred seal hidden randomly on the map after the ritual.
There will be no warning when the darkness returns. Survivors who are not covered by strong light will then scream and reveal their location. 3 random shrines will become sacred and all candles at the shrines will be lit again (sacred shrines can never have more then 2 candles).
If a survivor dies the ritual can be performed by just one person, it takes 25 seconds then.
Vision in the darkness:
The killer will have a default nighvision. This doesn't mean he sees survivors like the dredge does but he sees the map in 95% grayscale. The killer can determine how strong light is by the amount of color it's adding back to the environment. Strong light will make it look like a normal part of the map to the killer (normal in a way of no darkness), medium light means 30 % grayscale. Weak light 70 % grayscale.
Survivors see normal colors and nothing but darkness of weak light. At the edge of weak light however everything will slowly turn into darkness meaning you can barely see more then outlines.
If a survivor is in total darkness (means he is not covered by any light) His vision will be changed. The survivor doesn't see anything outside of 18 meters. Anything the survivor sees inside a 18 meter radius is 60 % darker, has higher contrast and a slight blue filter. (It should look like heavy night).

Lore
It is not known where The Ritual does come from. It is speculated it was born in the void of the entity, a place only a few have seen and came back from. It is said that all the leftover agony and pain emitted from the beings sent to the void by the entity build up and formed a new being from it. That is the reason it has a shape close to humans but is still a being of darkness, deformed by trauma of the beings it's made of.
As something formed out of nothing in the darkness of the void, darkness is the only thing it knows, pain the only thing it lusts after and light something that must be destroyed. It has no perception of morality, personality or authority. This makes The Ritual extremly dangerous as nobody can control it. It is not known how it escaped the void. Some say the entity guided it out to use it for himself. Some say it escaped on its own, which would make this being a singualrity as it does not obey the entity and could roam free in it's realm at will.
Some want to study it to understand it's powers to fight back the entity, some say it is already too late. Darkness is comming. It lurks in every corner, waiting patiently, monitoring you. When you realise the darkness is too dark to be normal, it's already too late.
These words where written in great haste, in a book where all other pages are blank. The only clue is the owner of the book. It belonged to Benedict Baker. The book was found by Alan Wake as he searched for answers in the realm of the entity.

POV: This guy and his AI artist takes over BHVR
Jokes aside, i really admire the passion put into this, and you seriously have to say which AI you're using.
As for the balancing, not my place to say but ill just tell you the perks are too overpowered.

I appreciate it.
I used DALL-E to help me generate some pictures of what I had in mind for this killer. Took a good amount of time though.
As for the perks. I think the hex totem is fine as its just a passive slowdown which can be removed. It kind of helps detecting survivors but also alerts survivors when a killer gets closer.
Inhuman strength will only be helpfull in a very few situations. Obviously avoiding pallet stuns is the strongest advantage you can get out of this and you can avoid bodyblocking. It may be rewritten to only pushing a survivor aside once after picking one up.
I kind of agree with enforced suppression maybe being overpowered as it might cause a lot of damage when a blocked generator gets hit by jolt and then keeps regressing or something like that. So tweaking numbers might be the solution. Something like blocks the generator for 20 seconds or only regresses generator with 75 % of normal speed.
Aside from that I think if this killer would come alive in dbd "inhuman strength" would rarely be used at all. The hex perk would find some usage on probably nonstealth killers. Enforced suppression might be meta for a while until we know if its too strong and then gets nerfed in the process.
But it has been a long time since gen slowdown perks came to dbd, so I felt like creating one
