Upcoming 3 gen mechanic tweak
BHVR, you have made a huge mistake in trying to implement that mechanic as it is. That mechanic is just going to turn the matches into day 1 DBD but with all these extra perks to make generators fly. Let us not mention that cheaters will also use this to make every gen hit their maximum regression event at the start of the match. You need to add some safety measure for killers to not be at such a huge disadvantage with this by either increasing the limit of the regression events, making the regression events effect activate only when affected by the activation on the killers game and/or have it so when the regression limit is reached it is slower to work on than a normal generator. Giving survivors a free gen with perks and add-ons that give huge chunks of progress up to almost completing a gen isn't balanced for the killer. If the killer can't slow down the match to catch survivors off guard then you might as well just give survivors a free escape at the start of the match like all the cheaters do.

Youre completely overestimating the effect of this mechanic. There is no such thing as a free gen and you even get more regression and time with the new kick regression.

I think 8 is a bit low, but the anti gen-tap is a nice consolation. I think this will force people to stop stacking gen regression perks.
I feel like you could hit 8 gen regression events within the first 2 minutes of a match starting if you use 4 perks that cause those. But killers who rely on those, because they are poorly designed, will get effected the most. Killers that can end chases quickly wont be effected as much. So the weak get weaker and the strong only get a tiny bit weaker. But who knows how this will all play out with the gen tapping change.

The problem is that heavy regression is almost mandatory for the weaker m1 killers. I personally only run surge on my m1, but I do gen blocking to make up for it. Regardless, I have had a generator get hit by surge 3 times within 30 seconds quite a few times. That's almost half the allotted charges in under a minute! I'm not sure how I'll be able to maintain that for the entirety of the match. 8 is just far too low of a number. What also ridiculous is that the killer is forced with this restriction even in cases where survivors screwed up and 3 genned themselves. They screwed up ultimately leading to a lost match because of their error, but now they get a free pass?

Yea I agree with this. But this is what we get. They didn't ask the community what they thought. They just coded it. And now that it's coded, the chances of it changing are extremely low based on how they handled past iterations.
TBF, in my mind, this solution for three gens was not thought out very well at all. It disproportionately nerfs some perks more than others and disproportionately negatively impacts killers based on their chase potential. I know that many fans and the devs probably don't want to listen to negative feedback, but it is what it is.
As a clear cut example; Ruin. Ruin doesn't remove any gen regression events yet allows you to continue regressing gens as long as you can defend the totem. If you get lucky with spawns, you could create a 3 gen that the survivors cannot break, showing that the original problem was never actually fixed. Because we can still 3 gen, we just have to choose the perks that this upcoming update did not nerf.
