Can someone please clarify when the anti 3-gen changes are supposed to take effect?
Been watching people play the PTB, and everyone seems to have different ideas on when the new anti 3-gen mechanics are actually supposed to be taking place.
- Some people are saying its supposed to be effecting every generator as long as they are kicked/instantly regressed by at least 2.5% 8 times. This is how I read the initial patch notes as well, but this doesn't seem to be the case in the PTB. I've seen plenty of clips already where gen tapping is still a thing, for example.
- Some people are saying the anti 3-gen effects only come into place when there are 3 gens left
- Some people are saying that the closest 3 generators at the start of trial have the anti 3-gen effects applied ONLY to them.
Can anyone clarify which one of these is actually true? I want to say it's the first one and the PTB is just bugged, but I honestly don't know at this point lol.

There was a bug on the PTB that caused the new anti 3-gen mechanic to not work properly. That should have been addressed now.
As to which of the 3 scenarios is true: the first one. Every gen from the start of the match can only be damaged 8 times by means of a 'regression event' (anything that takes away 2,5% or more progress instantly).

Yes. But a regression event only needs 2.5% or higher. I thiiink the only thing that actually deals 2.5% regression now is when Knight's guards kick a gen?

There was an issue when the PTB first went live which left the system deactivated, meaning generators would never be blocked nor would the regression continue if someone tapped the generator. This was resolved later in the day.
As for your question, the first scenario is true. Regression events of greater than 2.5% are counted at any point in the match.

Do you only have 8 times to kick a generator or can you kick it 8 times per generator, if that make sense.
