Fun question
If one original killer from dbd got its own game who would you pick?
Me personally I say wraith centered game would be awesome and scary.

Trapper
Him being the poster boy is for a good reason. His design is obviously inspired by classic slashers, but he still has his own defining features that separate him from the rest.
This is something that was missing from VHS, most monsters (especially werewolf) didn't have much to differentiate themselves from other media.

The Dredge. I could imagine a slender man type game with dredge. He can pop out of lockers across the map and if you take too long the map will go dark.
Also to make it even cooler. His appearance wouldn't be his default but it would randomly generated based on the objects on the map.

Huntress, Doc, Spirit for our votes.
Out in who knows where solving the mystery of missing children with that humming in the woods hunting you down.
Doc gets a evil within type deal with torture and brainwashing.
I'm quoting him here "Who doesn't like a good ghost story?"

Oni or dredge. Oni would be neat hack and slash. Dredge could be a scary alan wake like game

Huntress or Nurse 100%. I’ll be very disappointed if we don’t see them in the movie.

Honestly, Huntress. Her early life is so tragic. And it would make interesting scenes especially because she grove up in wild. So we would get some hunt scenes while controlling her.
Also we know she hunted soldiers, other hunters etc too. So her game would offer so much action and i am taking this.

The Spirit
She is by far the best original killer in the game. Spectral themed monsters have a unique horror element to them that I think a lot of people find very interesting. Every time I see the Spirit in game I am amazed at how cool this character is and the amount of creative detail that went into her design.

The Singularity has good potential for a game as a whole. Not only do you have the rogue AI, but the various mysteries of that planet. The crystaline structure that gave HUX sentience and whether HUX's newfound consciousness is the reason for its murderous tendencies, or if the crystals manipulated HUX's motives.
Also, the AI could infiltrate and alter all things technology with both its techno/bio abilities, causing different enemies to spawn.
The Singularity may not be the obvious choice - especially being relatively new - but the overall potential is very strong.

The Huntress.
Her lore is outstanding, with plenty of potential for an interesting game of her own.

I think Dredge would be thhe most interesting to me.
Trapper would make a decent classic slasher movie, Spirit / Oni together with Adam and Yui teaming up would be a cool spin on the Ringu/Ju-on genre.
But Dredge has a whole cult/mystery/conspiracy backdrop on an isolated island, and you would have to expand the cast and include all those who end up becoming a part of it. It could draw from the Conjuring/Insidious universe with the ghost hunting angle.

Huntress by far. She would be the most interesting. A survial/ Slasher game where you survive in the forest/ Hunt and Trap animals and Humans collecting shiny things and gear for upgrades. Wiping out soldier encampments and Villages, expanding your territory. I think honestly she could easily have her own movie and franchise. Would without a doubt be one of the most iconic slashers of all time and easily the greatest female slasher ever.

Huntress. She is by far one of the most interesting original characters. Amazing tragic lore that you could almost shed a tear to if it was visualised.

I’d LOVE to see a horror board game video game with mini games like Mario Party where the Doctor is the host. He shocks you, brainwashes other players, messes with the balance, gives hidden objectives, makes players harm each other etc.
A game like this would totally enhance his already whimsy, insanity, demented type horror. In fact the more you play and the more desensitized the player gets to the horror of the game, the more it would mimic the actual brainwashing that he actually does to his patients- in essence the player themselves falling victim to the conditioning without active awareness it is happening. The game could be called “Stockholm Syndrome”.

I'd say the ones that use tools instead of magic are easier to put into movies. Depends on the premuse of the movie tho.
But I guess Trapper and Huntress could work.
Huntress/Trapper/Wraith/HB could essily fit in a "horny teens enter abandoned restricted area and get hunted"- plot.
Wraith could be similiarily used like myers or slender in the first half of a movie, only blurry shape and faint bell ringing. But i'd say more like myers in the og movie than a predator.

huntress.
like, by far.
but I can also see one for hag. if we change her lore so we can have her do hag stuff before she actually becomes the hag.
also Oni, on his murder spree.
maybe slinger during his bounty hunting days.
I can think of more but, for most killers, the best idea for a game (that I have rn) is before they become the characters we know.
but huntress? you can make the entire game about her already as her killer self. and that makes her the perfect candidate for me.
edit: others have said, and I agree. dredge and singularity would work too.
but the issue with dredge is that he would need to be beatable, and that feels weird outside of dbd gameplay.
