To BHVR : Requesting clarification on Blight's Hug Tech
I can't find the post about it anymore but i believe it was may 2022 where mandy said this on the forums
I think many would like to know including myself if hug tech is still classed as a bug or not? Since blight just got his add-on pass i was expecting some mention of hug tech. But i have been looking everywhere and i haven't seen any official mention of it.

I think it's obvious that it's been a part of his kit for a long time, but they're afraid to say it outright because they know it's going to be "oh no, it's end of the world" posts from survivors.
Remove hugtech also will affect this character a lot in different ways, and i think they don't want to touch things that already work fine. And it's right.

His collision isn't perfect no matter what you will do to it. Most objects I "hug tech" around don't even have collision so its not like I could bump or use it for anything else.

Yeah ive seen this post referencing mandys quote a lot. She just said something at the time. Maybe she didn't know what would come down the line. Or it was just a honest mistake. So they probably think its better not addressed in any of these forum posts because no matter what itll be controversial "a dev said it WILL be fixed".

Removing hug tech means BHVR have to fix EVERY collusion on EVERY map. This would make Blight even stronger. The only frustrating thing about Blight, when he is sliding off something and go into fatigue.
- Either it was just a lie and it's not a bug, you've never heard anything else since. Everybody is just circle j*****g about Mandy's post. Idk if it's true or not, but LilithOmen said, that he asked McLean back then when he was a Dev about HugTech...and he said it was intended.
- It must be superhard to rework collusion.
- BHVR don't give a F.

It was originally intended until McLean could fix blights collision entirely.
Which I imagine is a rather large task.

I don't know when McLean supposedly said that it's intended, but I'd say there's a high chance that predates Mandy's comments. In which case I would say what they are saying is the current view, and anything before their comments (May 2022) is outdated.
Is there a more current comment that contradicts it being a bug?
