Are bots supposed to help killers? Why they are exists?
They were good in chase before but looks like BHVR just nerfed them. Now they are just running to corners and giving free down.
When somehow you make it end game, they are opening gates immediately and escaping.
If you are last survivor with hooked bot, they simply don't miss skill checks and giving good time to killer to find you.
But somehow they are missing skill checks on gens or on heals.
Why they are exists? 3 v 1 was so hard for killers, so we just made them 3 v 2? I really hate them and i prefer 3 v 1 instead of bots if they are that braindead. They are not helping team but throwing the game.
And please can someone explain me, how bot can have afk crows? Like how? How they programmed to stay afk?

One time I saw a bot opening a door and it got to 97% but a Dwight was approaching with a killer behind him hoping to escape and the bot proceeded to get off the gate switch and ran and the Dwight died because of it

1: They were never consistent in chase.
2: Asking a bot to "give up" is, from a technical perspective, really weird. There's way too many reasons not to give up. The the bot is simply unable to know for sure what you want from it. It is, quite simply, trying to survive, and giving up is very much contradicting that.
3: You can't make bots hit all skillchecks either. There'd be no point in making them face skillchecks at all, rendering them immune to Oppression, Overcharge, and the like. You'd be making bots better than players this way, which is undesirable.
4: It's not a 3v2. That really is just exaggeration, ngl.

I am glad this did not happen to me. What an terrible AI

They where good in chases because they have wallhacks i guess they nerfed because of certain perks. They always opened the gate after the last gen is done.

I would guess that bots exist to distract the killer a little bit by not having the match immediately be a 3vs1 upon disconnect of a survivor player for whatever reason. Nothing more, nothing less.
They are supposed to be an optional 4th target to get chased to buy the rest of the team 10 or 20 or however many extra seconds time, they wouldn't have with a pure disconnect in the past.
Them making also progress on gens or healing/unhooking teammates is already a bonus.
On the flip side, they aren't "ai". They don't play tactics and even ruin sometimes tactics for the normal players by being singleminded in escaping by opening the door and leaving at the first opportunity.
Edit: Another downside is that they give the killer more opportunities for perk effects related to interaction with survivors. But again, this comes in tandem with the killer not immediately gunning for the other 3 players after a disconnect.
You can't really separate the good from the bad without blatantly making them a different entity in relation to killer perks which would be unfair to the kille in my opinion, if the bot isn't openly flagged as one to give the killer player the option to ignore the bot when interacting doesn't help them. But that would nearly completely invalidate their implementation in the first place.

1 thing I know about bot is its better to chase down players than bot. Bots are usually good at running, but not doing anything at all.
You werent programmed at all to be considered one.

They've gotten so bad lol I was watching a streamer play against a Xeno and a bot grabbed a turret and literally just walked in a loop. They didn't do anything with the turret, they just held it and walked a circular path over and over. They pretty much took a turret out of the game lol when the streamer got in their way and interrupted their pathing, they put the turret down - didn't set it up, just put it down 🤣

Bot would stop doing anything anytime they're in TR. I had a bot, watched them do a Hex for over 10sec, TR just started and it leaved the totem immediately. Pretty much playing Wesker with Hex build, your Hex would last forever.

As someone, who playing custom with bots from time to time, they are only getting better. Still not perfect, but definitely better than half of survivor player base already.

They would be better if they were braver.

Real.
2 weeks ago bots were actually trying to loop but now they like get the wrong focus of what the should be doing
for some reason the bots I've been getting focus more on the killer objectives such as Xenomorph's turrets, Weskers' healing cans and Singularity's EMP's instead of gens and hooks.
Idk

Basically this.
For Survivors, Bots were the worst introduction. You can rather play a 3v1 than a 3v1 plus a Bot. The only thing they do is to provide the Killer with opportunities to get PGTW or Pain Res.
I mean, they are alright for testing out how a Killer Power is working (because you can start a Custom game alone with Bots), but this is about it. They are not helpful, they are just point pinatas for Killers and you cannot really practice against them in Custom games.

Part of the reason bots were added was specifically to prevent survivor DCs being of a tactical advantage. The amount of times killers would lose potential BBQ reads because the survivor on their shoulder was salty, or someone would get hatch because the 2nd to last decided to quit to give it to them was gross.
There's less reason to quit when it also no longer has a benefit to your team.

Meh.
Usually you did more for the Killer when just DCing. Removing a BBQ-Read or Pain-Res or PGTW was usually less than the benefit they get from an DC.
But at least you can confirm that the Bots help the Killer more than they help the Survivors.
