Now that ptb feedback has closed what are you hoping changes?

Billy-Make the chainsaw less loud and the dissipation delay addons need better effects.

Sadako-i think she could go through as she was on the ptb. Maybe newspaper basekit or something.

Blight-Make his infinite rush addon cooldown on miss and pallet break but maybe less cooldown then 20 seconds. And the j-flick one? No real clue. Probably new effect.

Grim embrace-coulda been interesting if it worked on 2 and 4 hooks instead of each hook up to the 4th. So its not blocking as often.

Stbfl:only lose stacks if the killer power or thing is damaging you to remove plot twist and ftp abuse.

How about you?

Compound 33. Having your turning rate increased by 33% per rush is insane, to the point people don't even have to play Blight anymore and everyone can just J-Flick now no problem. Not to mention people are comboing it with Iri Tag so they can just endlessly rush.

    That should not go through.

    My only big gripe honestly.

Sometimes I wish they'd make killer specific sounds in general not play for the killer, or at least not as loud. Do I REALLY need to hear Huntress hum all game? So yeah... a change for Billy's saw's sound at least for the Billy player would be nice.

I agree with your suggestions for Billy.

Blight needs completely new addons. Again. These will not do. They are impossible to balance.

Sadako could use some new addons. She had 2 addon passes already and still a majority of her addons remain unchanged. This is just sad. Her addons aren't even that good to begin with.

I will be honest, I don't like the new Grim Embrace. It's strong and it might be enough for some killers to tunnel a bit less but I personally don't like gen blocking and worse it had this synergy with DMS on the PTB that just made it a nightmare to play against.

STBFL should only have 6 stacks max with a percentage of 5.5. That would bring it the closest to pre 6.1.0. It should only lose or gain stacks on M1s. As a compensation however, it could turn the recently unhooked survivor into the obsession and deactivate after a certain amount of time has been spent in close proximity (16 metres for 5 seconds) to a hooked survivor until the killer leaves that area or the survivor is unhooked.

Save The Best for last doesn't deserve a double nerf it should be one or the other and i was hoping they would make ormond a bit smaller.

BHVR: We introduced a perk so killers can't hear footsteps while the survivor is healthy

Also BHVR: Rev the chainsaw directly in his ear... also, turn up the chase music, I think he mightve heard something.

For Billy - Bring back Mother's Helpers, replacing Discarded Air Filter. and buff it to 45 seconds. It was a decent add-on with some nice perk synergy. Also, bring back Pighouse Gloves, replacing High-Speed Idler Screw, with a new buff: that it now increases the action speed of vaulting windows. It would work better with Overdrive rather than Overheat, where it would almost never activate. There's too many Overdrive duration-related add-ons when only two types of Overdrive add-ons are necessary: time duration add-ons (no dissipation) and additional effects during Overdrive add-ons.

For Blight - Honestly I feel like the turn rate add-on is fine, it's the synergy with his infinite rush add-on that makes it absolutely busted. Feel free to prove me wrong, though, as I've heard it has good synergy with the new Alc Ring.

I was hoping the FoV could go up to 110 horizontal FoV.

We got the most underwhelming FoV slider in the entire world. This has to be the smallest FoV range of any FoV slider ever. It really feels like BHVR wants to try as hard as possible to give killers the absolute bare minimum with this feature.

This is still the only major quality of life or accessibility feature announced for killers, and we got the bare minimum possible. It’s just so sad. Survivors got so much thought and effort placed into the Survivor HUD.. and killers basically got a Shadowborn toggle in their options menu. Yes, it’s technically an FoV slider, but I really think a lot of people were expecting a wider range, considering that’s how all the other FoV sliders work.

Blight's iri add ons absolutely have to change. Not sure how those even made it to PTB given the context of his add on rework.

Other than that...I wouldn't change much. Lower Billy's chainsaw volume. That's about it.

Iri Tag and C33 needs some adjustments. It's still a nerf, I would go for double speed instead of double Iri if I really really want the win, but for mid/low MMR it's too much.

I'm also hyped about the Billy buff/change, can't wait to learn a new killer.

I hope for sadako they address some of her addons still.

Telephone, Distorted Photo need to be addressed. For purple addons they’re not great at all. Better off using green or yellow.

Rickety Pinwheel and Seasoaked cloth punish sadako for using them when she teleports.

The visual heart beat when she is demanifested is annoying. Survivors know you’re coming a mile away.

People seem concerned about tapes and think they should still build up passively? I’m okay with either or. Guess we will see.

Overall though! I love that we got old sadako back and I love her rework.

Billy: Decrease chainsaw volume, decrease miss cooldown movement speed.

Blight: Rework C33, again. The PTB C33 isn't salvageable. Iri Tag should go on cooldown after any Lethal Rush attack, not just successful attacks.

Perks: Add exit gate auras to Illumination. Champion of Light's Hindered effect is a little overkill imo; I'm not sure what the best change is but I think this should be toned down somehow. Make self-inflicted injuries from survivor perks not deplete STBFL tokens (the STBFL nerfs are fine though otherwise and should stay in place). Grim Embrace is too similar to old Eruption in terms of being strong, boring (because survivors often have to just stand around and wait) and unfun, should be toned down. Its DMS synergy is also pretty ridiculous.

I didn't get a single Onryo on the PTB so I can't comment on her.

Buff surge to 10% as I predict a reduction in the amount of times a gen can be kicked probably from anywhere to only 5-6 events per gen.

  • Moodyy
    Moodyy Member Posts: 125

    Billy: Lower chainsaw audio

Tuned Carburetor: Remove 4.4 move speed and lower the percentage of the charge time bonus from 25% to 10% (Spark plug speed)

Fix his revving animations( they have been bugged for nearly 4 years).

Give an addon that’s starts the match with overdrive for 60/90 seconds but then is disabled for the remainder of the match.

Why do so many people want so many changes? It's especially egregious when it's things that have been changed several times.

  • RpTheHotrod

I hope their current idea for limiting how many times a gen can be regressed gets nuked from orbit. It really hurta being free to use non regression perks that just happen to use kicks.

  • LordGlint
    LordGlint Member Posts: 8,690

It's probably because that range is tried and true. They KNOW Shadowborn's FOV works. There's videos out there of ppl who have tweaked the FOV scale to allow for more and it just kinda breaks things. You have floating hands and such.

  • supersonic853
    supersonic853 Member Posts: 5,548

Although if i remember correctly originally shadowborn was even wider. I saw gameplay of it on original wraith. Idk if thatd still work as a option this late in. But never know.

My hope is to buff sadako’s chase aspect a little more and have more addon varients which is mostly her purple addons since they’re quite bad

Oh yeah that’s when they nerfed it like a thousand years ago

  • LordGlint
    LordGlint Member Posts: 8,690

I just know I saw someone using 180 FOV for giggles and yeah... the character models and camera just broke it. Obviously this is an extreme, but BHVR probably just wanted to try a range that's already in the game before pushing the limits.

Outside of blight addons I don't think it's nothing to egregious in the ptb. Most of it can stay the same.

Champion of the light- i think it just free slowdown for blinding at a pallet but whatever i guess.

    grim embrace- excellent job

Billy buff- this is why behavior the goat

blight best addons- nerf them again

deadline & boon- useable in certain builds and the other one ok for newbies. Ok for live

SBFT- the main problem is people farming Stacks at the hook and denying saves. Instead they try to make it less effective in actual chase. i hope they just fully revert it now.

Quick Gambit-.... its the effort that counts

Compound 33 and Blight Tag need to be nerfed. Blight Tag just needs the cooldown to apply even if the Blight misses a Rush, whereas Compound 33 needs a new function or at least should not be able to be paired with Iri Tag.

With Onryo they should just revert the animation time for retrieving and inserting tapes back to 2 seconds. Incredibly frustrating when Survivors remove all their Condemned in your face and you can't do anything about it.

    Hillbilly is fine IMO.

PERK. Shadowborn - I'd add an increase in speed when destroying pallets and walls (by 20%) and increased recovery of missed attacks (by 25%) during the period of time it's effective. Not sure the haste effect is good enough on its own, so I'd add a couple of extras to play into the "anger of being blinded".

PERK. Boon: Illumination - Add the auras of the Exit Gates to the list of auras you can already see.

PERK. Deadline - This is incredibly weak on its own. So, to follow Alan's abilities and strengthen when he "meets" the deadline, I'd add that if the Survivor using this Perk completes a gen, any Killer within 16m and has that gen in its sights is blinded. Give it something to make it more worthwhile.

ADD-ONS. Hillbilly - They're all good. I just miss one or two of the add-ons whereby, if you're stunned, you gain an speed boostin getting into Overdrive. That's a really minor quibble though, and it's just more a selfish want than whether it would be good or not. Great job overall.

ADD-ONS. Compound Thirty-Three - Reduce the turn rate. Not sure how much by. Maybe 20m per rush more than 4m? Either way, it's too strong.

ADD-ONS. Iri Blight Tag - Cancel the ability if either stunned or missed a hit. I feel the cooldown is fine, but not averse to a reduction to 15 seconds. However, I feel the cooldown fine as is.

PERK. Quick Gambit - When in chase and seeing the auras of generators, you can also see how progressed they are, judging by the strength of the aura. Keep speed boost repair as is.

PERK. STBFL - Keep the reduction of 4% per stack, but make it so stacks are lost on basic hits only. Keep the perk in a more up close and personal state.

BHVR directly told us they currently don’t plan on allowing FoV to go higher, which highly implies that the effort it takes to write the code, isn’t the problem.

Otherwise, it would have made more sense to tell us they plan on allowing FoV to go higher in the future, but it won’t be ready in the near future.

The much more likely explanation is that killer gameplay revolves around purposely bad game mechanics… like purposely bad FoV, purposely bad sound occlusion, and purposely bad chase music volume… so it’s important to give killers the lowest passable FoV possible. We should all remember that 103 horizontal FoV is still an absolutely horrible FoV for 1st person gameplay, and that it’s the bare minimum passable FoV for accessibility purposes, that BHVR could have implemented.

Someone stated that with the requirement of fixing 5% before regression would stop, that it would be possible to repair 4.5%, then let go for a second, and then continue working. That way, the generator will still be regressing when you stop working on it, meaning the killer can't kick it, thus immunising the gen from Pop Goes The Weasel.
