Boon Illumination was obviously nerfed
I always thought the secondary effect of Boon Illumination "Increases your Action speeds for Blessing and Cleansing by 6/8/10 % while you have a lit Boon Totem" was strange until I realized why it was like that.
Boon Illumination was nerfed prior to PTB and used to reveal totem spawns like Detective's Hunch, which is why the perk has an additional effect that incentivizes cleansing/booning other totems. Basically, it was supposed to be the Anti-Hex Boon Totem.

A boon, which innately requires you to find totems, with an effect that highlights totems?
That still doesn't sound good. I think it was just such a tragically worthless perk that even BHVR was like 'we can't ship it like this, we have to give it -something-, even if it is a survivor perk'.

Maybe but that effect is so oddly specific. The last time they did something like that was Empathic Connection and that 10% boost specifically relates to the design of the perk.
Not saying Empathic Connection is amazing. Both perks are pretty tragic honestly

Would be another reason to "Why should I run Hex perks?".

I would gladly trade the meager cleansing/blessing speed buff for a buff to the aura-reading.
My favorite suggestion was to add exit gates, and reveal the auras of any survivors interacting with generators, chests, and exit gates.

Empathic Connection: All game, you know that somewhere out there is a teammate actively choosing to ignore that you're clearly running healing perks, and they would prefer to self care for 45 seconds.
No other effect.

good thing they nerfed it. it was going to destroy the game. gamebreaking perk.

I think Empathic connection is quite decent, as it saves your teammates' time to get a healing, in extra of saving 1.5sec per heal. While Botany saves 5.5sec per heal (4sec save per heal).
Thing is you know you save 4 more sec per heal with Botany than EC, while you dont know how much time you saved for teammates' traveling wtih EC

Killers' aura is the most sacred. Survivors cant have it freely.
Teammates aura is the the most useful, 2nd to Gen's aura. We have Bond, Empathy, After care, Deja vu and Visionary for those.
Totem and chest aura are the least needed. There are already perks for that, and because items are nerfed to the point they're useless to get from chest, and Hex arent in usual builds. Only the Gen's aura is in good use. I would bring Visionary instead.
