Survivor: Emotes

Will we ever get more? I feel like it's overdue.

I think they said that it wasn't on their priority list or something along those lines.

    I don’t think I see that happening.

people get angry over pointing and tbagging

those same people would be found dead on the floor if they saw some one doing orange justice or a fortnite default dance after getting stunned

Please no. I do not need the Feng Min that was about to hook suicide to run around the map and flip everyone the bird.

The 2 animations that survivors have aren't meant for simple entertainment but for communication purposes. Only, nobody really gives a damn about that.

It's not. So why bring more things into the game that allow you to do that? You already have all the tools you need in that regard.

Also, a fortnite dance or whatever in a supposed horror game would feel a tiny bit out of place, don't you think?

If these emotes will help coordinate or communicate better im all for it. There absolutely should be a emote for do not heal me. Personally i would want a thumb up emote

Not anymore immersion breaking than Trapper's Fursuit and the various pajamas in the game.

The real reason is that it would cost money to create, not any atmospheric reason.

Once again, the mobile game has features the main game probably really should.

Maybe but I'd still find it pretty off-putting to see that as an emote. The ones there are DBD mobile are fine (mostly because they are again for communication purposes) but we really do not need the teabagging Ace to do a backflip everytime he gets a pallet stun.

Yes, I’d like more emotes and some new ones for killers.

Id like a “Stop” emote at the very least.

Could certainly do with gens, heal me, go save, gate etc etc.

It is puzzling that they do not make more Emotes. They are simple to make and is money they are missing out on by not having.

They could sell emotes if they wanted to. They're obviously not doing it because they don't want to.

IMO the cosmetics we have in the game are fine. Naughty Bear makes sense because he is a killer in his own game. Survivors can be dressed in whatever, because it's just the entity taking appearances from various points in their life. There isn't an appropriate attire to be murdered in.

It makes no sense to add survivors doing dance emotes because that's not how survivors would act.

Yes you can tbag and shake your head as survivor but it's not intentional, it's using crouching and the way the camera works to make it look like something else so they can't really do anything about it. Just because these can be done doesn't mean devs should completely forget about keeping survivors realistic.

Except fear makes people act irrationally and not everyone will react the same. Some laugh under pressure, some cry, some get angry, etc.

There is nothing that suggests victory dances or taunting emotes would be out of the norm or unrealistic.

I'm not asking for fortnite dances. But a thumbs up and thumbs down and some sort of taunt would be welcome.

There are not enough buttons on the controller for more emotes. They would have to replace the emotes with emote wheels.

    ---- That said...

SWF survivors on comms can say "I'm behind you, stop so I can heal you." Solo survivors without comms cannot; they must have a flashlight equipped and click it to get the injured survivor's attention.

That's why they should add audio effects to the emotes.

    • Beckon plays a "psst" sound
    • Point plays a "shhh"
    • The killer cannot hear these
    • Survivors can spam the emotes, but the sounds will only play one time (5 second cooldown)

Should be easy to implement across all the survivors since the sounds are universal, regardless of gender or nationality.

I'm generally not big on the idea of a ton of dumb emotes that people would undoubtedly use to BM, but a "stop" one would be good. Also, and pointing at yourself emote would be great. In combination with the pointing away one, you could get a lot of communication done.
