Anyone with oneshot (Billy, Bubba, etc). Gamemode is ridiculous)

ghost face is great for this game mode , you can stalk even though you cant see them , 99% a stalk and then go in for the insta down , also the stealth alone and jump scares is great.

I honestly think every killer is just fine in this game mode (besides ranged), the survivors are at a pretty major disadvantage.

edit: wanted to throw in that I was having a lot of fun with Pyramid Head shooting through walls blindly at gens, they can’t hear your sword until it’s too late

Knight is working well, at least in my experience.

Chucky, you can't almost see him coming and looping him is even harder.

Do his marked survivors aura still appear? If so then that makes him super useful in the dark.

Yep. Everyone's power is the same in this mode, except for Freddy who cannot be played.

I'm no expert with Knight, he only joined my killer rotation (which currently has no one but him and Freddy) recently, but I'd say he is pretty good in Lights Out. The Guards help a lot.

    Legion 100%.

Maybe swf stand a chance but not solo q. Frenzy is unavoidable without hearing a terror radius.

The Cenobite. If you know the spawn logic to the box, the game is in your favor. Chains spawn when chasing survivors (good for tracking), you get slowdown (Since no perks are available) and Information (Infectious Fright) with the box.

He is currently bugged, slightly but he is playable.

For once, Myers is a great choice. Charging out of the shadows in Tier 3 is a lot of fun! Also, stalking whilst not being able to be seen is damn near broken!

Also, I'll give a shout out to the Doctor. Put on the black outfit version of his original cosmetic grants a fair bit of cover, but he has his area blast which is great for finding Survivors in the dark.

I'd say Singularity is almost S-tier in this mode. Smart biopod placement will mean survivors are much less likely to see your pods, and they'll still scurry away from generators when you tag them. Given that survivors can't see your stuff too well, it's almost like having the Eye of Sauron. On top of this, they won't hear you coming, so if you see someone through a pod, you can actually still sneak up on them without them realizing you know exactly where they are. His usual gameplay loop is still effective at pallets as well, so survivors have been going down pretty quickly for me. My only problem has been learning to counter the FOV tech.

For BP, I play Killer in Normal Mode if the incentive is 100% with Myers or Freddy with the following perks:

    Distressing (100% more Deviousness BP)

Beast of Prey (50% more Hunter BP)

    Lightborn

    Brutal Strength

If you are having a hard time maxing out the Hunter category go with this:

    Distressing (100% more Deviousness BP)

Beast of Prey (50% more Hunter BP)

HEX: Thrill of the Hunt (50% more Hunter BP**)

    Lightborn

**The 50% from the Hex will diminish as the trial progresses if Survivors do totems.

You want Lightborn so there's nobody blinding you at pallets and interrupting your mission.

If you go with the 1st build, Brutal Strength speeds up your ability to break things, gaining those Brutality bloodpoints 20% faster.

If you go with the second build, focus on chases before using your power. Rack up as many BP in the Hunting category before your Totem is destroyed.

    Hope this helps.

Myers is completely busted in Lights Out. It’s funny but absurdly unfair.

Had some INSANE matches playing as both...Doc can find people nonstop, and the hallucinations are a veritable neon sign pointing at survivors. Myers...is slasher incarnate in this mode. Like you said, just sneaking up on someone and hitting T3 as soon as they run is straight out of the movies!

Yeah, Tier III with no terror radius destroys all my SoloQ Lights Out trials. I went back to Normal mode because he became the only Killer I was going against.

I ready like playing Dredge in Lights Out, he's really fun and fair for survivors as they hear a cue when he's coming.

Legion is by far the most OP. Killer Instinct on him makes finding everyone so easy it's like shooting fish in a barrel, and the mending slowdown is extremely useful in a no perk build.

Doctor is probably second. Like Legion's mending you cause a significant slowdown with insanity but also illusory docs show you where the survivors are hiding.

Shape is third. You can't see distant survivors with his stalk, but he still gets progress stalking so you know where to go but the survivors don't know you are there. Also, tier three Evil Within with no terror radius is extremely powerful.

You would think that Ghost Face would then be similar, but he isn't quite the same. For some reason he is easier to break out of stealth in this mode. He also announces he is in the distance, giving survivors he fully stalks an opportunity to lose him easily without scratch marks. If you 99% the stalk you can try to pull it off in chase, but then you are basically playing normal mode. Meaning Lights Out isn't giving you a big advantage.

That's my experience in Light's Out. I played both sides for roughly 14 hours. Killers are all in a much better situation because seeing the auras of gens isn't an even trade off with having more chests on the map. I think the mode would be better if ALL auras were hidden from EVERYONE. No hooked survivor aura. No gen completed aura. No downed survivor aura. No gen auras. Nothing.
