How out of touch do they have to be with their own product and community to think Huntress needs a buff? Its madness at this point, what are they thinking?
Huntress is one of the most viable killer and insanly strong when played well. Its just the ultimate super fair GET GOOD killer. And those who are good, actually deliver.

Extremely out of touch. In the statistics post they pointed out that the reason for the 60% kill rate is to keep the "horror" theme alive...
Like hello? Who, after 20 hours of playing this game, thinks its still a horror game? No one even played Lights Out like a horror game... It's simply a PVP game and they have to accept that's what its become.

Keeping the horror theme alive is an extremely important thing, but it goes beyond kill rates.
It also concerns atmosphere and aesthetics, things which are constantly neglected. Less Fog, Moonlight offerings being retired, Coldwind Farm, and many other examples.
I believe the game should be able to provide a scary experience for the players, but changing the meta isn't going to make that happen.

Overall still a net nerf to pig because of the longer RBT nerf and no aura reading on the boxes

It sadly is yes. The buffs do not compensate for nerfs this heavy by a long shot.
The best nerf for the traps would be this:
Survivors can not die to the timer running out while searching a jigsaw box.
As a very experienced Pig main, this would change up a lot despite it seeming small. I hope they reconsider the nerfs. Up until now, the statement that they buff her is not only not true, they nerf her.

I totally get this, and love the aesthetic of the game, but to expect people to still treat it like a horror game or for it to provide scary experiences outside the occasional stealth killer jumpscare after playing for some time is just asinine to me. It's like watching a horror movie, they're scary the first time but after you know what's coming, it loses that edge.

Thats true, but I believe the game should at least make an effort, ya know?
There is a big difference between having a scary atmosphere and having nothing at all, even if you are an experienced player.
But the meta and kill rates aren't the best way to make that happen. 2017 DBD was way scarier than current DBD, and I'm certain there is a very big difference in kill rates between the two.

There are so many killers in this game that need massive changes yet they’re choosing one of the few killers that’s actually in an almost perfect spot to give significant changes to. They make it way too obvious they don’t actually play their game.

Until her Ambush Dash works like the dash attack from Chuky or other similar killers, these changes are insignificant. You are not hitting anyone with that unless they are absent-minded.
Looking at the killrates they posted, it is clear that the average survivor is incapable of completing secondary objetives. If the plan is to make these objetives irrelevant, it's going to take a lot more than these insignificant changes.

I like most of the changes but I'm surprised Huntress is receiving any changes at all. 7 Hatches seems way too forgiving without addons as a base along with an increase in movement speed winding up. Pretty stoked for the Doctor and Clown changes though.
We'll see how the PTB plays out.

Hy brother, they really did buff pig, really excited for the the dash attack, the cooldown on the dash, and going stealth 0.3 secs faster. 🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿
