Is the in-game report necessary?
I have recorded the endgame chat that shows the player death threat, but forgot to report in-game (I was already thinking about the ticket :/ ). Will the report ticket be taken in consideration ? I read on the official website that an in-game report MUST be made..
I already found the ofender's profile since it's an uncommon username and the in-game profile search queries only 1 result.

One time I forgot to do an in game report, but sent a video. A few weeks later I got a message confirming action was taken.

I think the point of the in-game report is to flag the match itself, so it’s easier to find for Support. I imagine it’s not entirely impossible to find the match if you’ve given your player ID, though.

The in-game report is important because multiple people can share the same name. There is nothing stopping me from changing my name to Fox1010, typing bunch of death threats, screenshotting it and claiming it was you. The in-game report however is tied to the actual account and not just the name.

The point is to flag the actual account. Usernames in screenshots are not unique, and you could have many ppl having the same name.

Also, just an FYI, in game reporting does work. I reported a cheater in game and a few days later got the notification for it.

I thought I remembered Peanits saying it flagged the match opposed to the player account, but I suppose what you're saying makes more sense.

Guess I'll leave it like this then. Next time I'll directly go to that report button. I'll assume he said what he said but I had the chat hidden :l Thx for the responses
