why do all the cut throat killers want to kill the whole lobby in 2 minutes you killers only get like 12,000 blood points then people don't even get time to build any blood points i only notice that the try hards do this

Because if the killer isn't keeping pressure right or as the other poster said, keeping order, what else is there to do? Like, we only have one objective lol.
Guess I'll just stand around and admire the scenery next match. I'm sure that'll go over quite well. Maybe take a little stroll, take some screenshots.

It's not neccessarily blaming the survivors for simply doing their objective, it's just being realistic. The game has sped up so much that both sides need to go into the game full speed if they wanna have a chance of winning. Same reason killers tunnel, there's simply no time to NOT do the most efficient plays thesedays.

Like said above it's not about blaming the survivors, but that doesn't change the reason.

Assuming both sides actually seriously care about winning and taking their best shot to do so. It's not the players, it's the game. On both sides.

Secondly... Its in the name - killer. Sole job, they kill.
It does suck when you're getting out matched several games in a row but once your mmr settles down you have a good time again.

A lot of people do as they are catching up to get perks etc. Sometimes it's the funnest way to play coz its more rewarding for newer players.

I remember back when they had bp incentives attached to some perks. I think of they were to bring that back to some weaker/fun perks that incentivise spreading hooks and blessing totems for example, it could make for some fun alternative playstyles. It'd be interesting to see at least

The same applies to the killer. Both sides have only 1 simple objective and it's best achieved by rushing it as fast as possible.
The survivors' objectives isn't farming BP but escaping, which requires them to finish 5 gens and the killer's objective isn't to hook but to kill, which requires winning before the survivors win.
Both sides have a massive problem with how fast they progress the game and both sides need some nerfs to these play styles.

Yeah, there are only a few ways to spread pressure and slow the game down and if you remove one another will take its place. Also, I would add MMR encourages it as by increasing the difficulty the more efficient the player's tactics have to become to match the difficulty. The matches with MMR are far less lopsided than before but MMR by definition encourages meta.
I personally would like Ruin to be buffed back to 200% regression and Pop to go back to 25% regression period. A basekit you get 25% extra BP for every unique survivor hooked a la old BBQ and Chili certainly wouldn't hurt.
If people want to cut down on incidences of tunneling then reward Killers for not tunneling. If there is no reward and the tools other than tunneling for slowing down matches for Killers get nerfed of course more Killers will tunnel.
Side note: In before someone says but 'Killers will tunnel anyway'. Of course some will as some just like to single out a player. However, Killer and Survivor players are individuals. If the amount of tunneling is to go down then there needs to be a reason to not tunnel in order to reduce tunneling. If game mechanics are more favourable towards not tunneling less Killers will tunnel.

What do you mean when you say gen regression is gone? Pain Res, DMS, Deadlock, Pop, Jolt, Grim Embrace, Corrupt, etc. are all great perks that have synergy with plenty of perks. Would you rather have it be back to when only two gen perks were viable being Ruin and Pop?

People like to have fun in one direction and forget they are playing with very real, living opponents. If they want to play like this just go next and try to escape the hook by yourself as much as you can and then try to hit your second stage hook skill checks as late as possible. Don't have to play with them, rather not give them the satisfaction of a real game since they dont want one to begin with.

None of those perks are comparable to the older, better gen regression metas. Pop is the only one that is still decent imo.

Pain Res is a fantastic regression perk that literally only requires you to chase and down different survivors, a great and healthy perk for the game.
Dead man’s switch can be combo’d with Pain Res, Grim Embrace, Ultimate Weapon, Infectious Fright and more. A borderline OP perk when paired with these.
Grim Embrace is fantastic just by itself but deadly when paired with Pain Res or DMS, again a perk that encourages you to spread hooks, another healthy perk for the game.
Deadlock literally requires you to do nothing and can give you 120 seconds of gen stall just for survivors doing their objective.
Jolt can be hit or miss depending on the map and where the survivors go down, but another perk that rewards you for simply chasing survivors and downing them.
All these perks literally don’t even require you to touch a gen the whole match and give you unreal regression when paired together. You don’t have to go out of your way and kick gens anymore, killer gets rewarded for chases with these perks and they lead to absolute snowball fests and incredible time saves in your average match.

Except that you don’t have time for a lot of chases against sweaty groups. I was running grim embrace and decided that it’s completely not worth it- camping and tunneling is more efficient. 12 seconds isn’t enough value, and while the 40 seconds is good, I normally only got it activated in games that I was already winning. It’s either not enough value, or a win harder perk. Jolt regression is laughable and map dependent. I’ve said it before, but Pain Res is too RNG dependent, and requires too much hook spreading. There are matches that I run it and get 0 or 1 use. It doesn’t provide consistent value.
The devs keep trying to incentivize “healthy” gameplay without addressing core gameplay issues. The game moves too fast, so camping and tunneling is still the most efficient playstyle if you want to get a 3-4K. DBD needs a redesign, not perk changes.

Pop still requires you to down people and then go and kick the gen, what makes it so good in your eyes in comparison?

You have more control over it than any other perk. You get it every time you hook someone and can choose which gen you want to regress. It’s not as good as it once was though.

That wasn't even what you were arguing half the time.
Half the time it was, "Oh, I feel like the game is more competitive and I can't just chase people one after another anymore" and then I'd try to get you back on gen regression and you'd go off again.
Gen regression is stronger. Straight-up. There's more and it's better. If your idea of RNG is getting a down, then yes, most regression is reliant upon that.

Pop gives you value when you get a down. And for the hundredth time, getting a down does not guarantee you a pain res proc.

Might be because of matches, like the trapper one I just did, where 2 P100 survivors tbag at you everywhere and somehow managed to get to every safe loop, do 5 gens in under 3 minutes even with corrupt/deadlock, and then insult you for securing a kill in endgame.
Why give the other side any leeway when there's so many of these survivors? I don't even play Trapper much, and I get a constant stream of toxic survivors. Maybe about every 5/10 games.
I don't agree with being toxic as a killer, by the way. And sweating sucks and only gets you harder survivors anyway, but when I play a killer I'm not perfect as, is known to be low tier, and still get sweaty toxicity from the survivor side... can you really blame some killers?

Its funny you say that because I was just saying today to my BF, "what, that match was only 7 minutes and we escaped? How?..."
Next match I timed and while there were hooks, healing, end game saves made, only 8 minutes :<

I think that people who do actively play both sides will understand where you are coming from. It is way easier to get blood points as killer than survivor. Like there is night and day kind of difference. Even struggling through an entire match and the team getting a four man out, I can still pull about 22,000. As survivor though, Even with an escape, it's a rare occurrence that I see anything over 30,000. Those are some of the best matches too. I think that, if they wanted survivors to have more fun (or enjoy the game), there needs to be a serious change in how bp are awarded to survivors. I am just saying.

I could see it something like Eyrie or Garden. Big maps with multiple stories, pretty sure at least one PR is guaranteed in the buildings.
Any other map though? Not really an issue for most players it seems.
You hear a lot of complaints in DBD, I can honestly say I haven't heard anything about Scourge Hook RNG in over a year.

It’s happened to me multiple times in the past few days. Haddonfield, midwhich, or any map with two stories significantly increases the odds. I want a perk that always gives me value.

Why don't you try playing killer play as nice as you want no meta perks no meta killer no meta addons 3 hook everyone even if someone is on their last hook and you're at 1 gen you hooked them before so let em go and then watch that same survivor teabag and wait out the entire EGC. Now have that happen constantly and then you'll realise

You won't always get value out of any perk.
Midwich is so Killer-sided I hardly think it matters, but hook RNG on that map in general is bad. I was gonna say Haddonfield earlier, but honestly? Two usually spawn somewhat near the street, one on each side.

Why? Because killers do not care about bloodpoints. 85% of the maps are survivr sided - so map offerings have very limited value. And except for a handful of killers, purple and red add-ons are mostly useless or in egregious cases actively harmful.
If I could be guaranteed a 2-4K in every match I ever play and be capped at 8,000 BP a match, I'd take that in a second.

I pretty much always get value out of pop, even moreso before its nerf. Ruin used to always give some value, even if it was cleansed early. Even pain res itself used to give a lot more value since it didn’t have tokens or force you to play in a certain way.

The killer try hards that I don't get are the ones that will slug the 3rd survivor to go find the 4th when there are still 4 or 5 gens left. That isn't to say it's wrong. I'm not saying it shouldn't be done. I do understand the last survivor might get the hatch. It's just a level of sweaty I don't think I am capable of understanding.

Tunneling happens to be both the strongest single thing a killer can do while also being the easiest thing to do. Why would they not design perks to not encourage this?

My point is that they should change gameplay to make it more feasible to play for hooks. Incentivizing it isn’t enough.
Tunneling/camping is the only way to get 3-4k against competent groups. You have no choice if you want to win.

Hi! Might be an unfamiliar concept but perhaps perchance maybe different players have different ways of having fun!
Some might find their fun playing very chill and casual, bringing in gimmicky builds and just doing tome challenges!! While others enjoy this game by setting a goal for themselves and try to dominate the other side as best they could as possible!! Wow! They are both completely valid ways of using this game as a way of having fun! Nice!!

Because killers have big egos and if they don't kill everyone it's a failure even though killing one is considered a success. Killers are too strong...period. now they tunnel and camp because they aren't good enough....period. want proof? I play 75 % survivor and 25%killer. I don't run sweaty add on as a killer. I'm already iridescent as a killer and only gold as a survivor. Nuff said

Define competent.
As a former competitive player, a competent group is far below your skill level. Above-average players playing together isn't that common.
Against very good players, who are also grouped up, sure, I'd agree with that. But that's so uncommon. That's what, maybe 1/20 games? You'll probably win that too.

The problem is that I have to assume everyone is competent from the beginning. I’ve had countless matches in which I played chill and it turns out they knew how to hold M1 on gens. It only takes one bad chase to lose the entire match.
