This game is one sided lol
They always pick the best stuff. Best addons, best items, best survivor, best killer, best offerings, best addons, best strategy. Anything. It's extremely boring it's no wonder why people just quit and go play a different game. There is no fun in it. The game is STALE and the devs refuse to do anything about it.
Dbd is the only game they have. All their other games have failed I mean the proof is in the pudding look at Meet your Maker. Deathgarden is literally dead. If this game ends up losing all the players, then they'll lose their company as well and that's a fact.

Dont forget that SWF and solo q has a significant difference in winrate. More proof that people are sick and tired of this game.

Which one is the best survivor again?

One that is super stealthy, quiet or small.

Well, there are some cool, intriguing new game modes on the way to give everyone a different experience. Hopefully they’ll have a positive impact.

Like that lights out gamemode where both sides complained to no prevail?

yeah, like that one😔
…but maybz betterrr!?🥳🙏🏼

That's just what happens in a PvP game. People will try to get competitive and at that point they'll start to use whatever gives them the biggest advantage so that they can win the most games.
If you don't want to deal with this too much, then I recommend you try to not let it get to you and play chill. You'll get better and better at the game until you can easily win against opponents with much better stuff. Because even the very best loadout can't completely make up for a lack of skill. Not anymore.
I don't see how the devs are to blame for this when this is exactly what we, the players, have called for.

Lights Out was well received by advanced players in Asia. Players who don't rate it are probably not enjoying the game, but thinking it's party pizza or something.

only competitive players complained

It just encouraged massive tunneling and camping.

no. Surprising other survivors is much more effective than camping or tunneling, so everyone who understood the game did that, right?
What's interesting is that the players who usually play Killer were the ones who enjoyed Lights Out the most ``as a survivor''. The harsh nature of the game is one in which only the survivors who remember the map, are careful in their pre-positioning, and are not full of gaps where they can easily allow one hit will survive, and this is a content that will touch the hearts of those who have overcome the killer playing that is more severe than usual. It seems like

You mean, like in any other competitive game? Even in MTG, with infinite possible combinations of cards to make a deck, each expansion would have a number of "META decks" that dictates what strategies are viable or not in high ranks.
Best character, best weapon, best perk combination, best attacks... no matter the genre, there would always be a "better" / most efficient way to play. If you don't like that aspect of the game, maybe it's just that competitive games are not for you.

If you refuse to play the meta, you prob get rolled more often. That's the problem with MMR in any multiplayer game.

Yep. To quote from Warframe: "There will always be a Draco".

Oooooh a doom and gloom thread.
Which side is quitting?
Who's fault is it this time, killers?... survivors?... the Devs?... the tunnelers?... the SWF's?

Jane... because reasons

One thing about this is the resistance met when any changes to the meta are imposed. There seems to be one side which wants the balance to be refreshed and switched to bring in new variations, yet another group that claims the game is stale, but then complains when changes are made as their favourite perks and such were affected.
I don't blame people for wanting to win. It's natural and reasonable. I just wish people feel they can be a bit more free to experiment. As an example, a YouTuber called TwokneeTwo makes videos based on the "1%" (perks on Nightlite with equal to or less than 1% usage) who has come up with some fun, strong builds. Here's an example:

It wasn't as bad before mmr

It was more fun for everyone, but no, tunneling and camping was much more effective.
The anti facecamping system wasn't turned on and tunneling was easy because you had no perks to worry about. Once people understood that, the gamemode devolved.

Yes, the game is and will most likely forever be "whoever brings the most broken stuff sided"

I think it was actually. There have always been players that were more competitive. But people didn't bring as many items and addons as they do now, which could be explained by the bloodweb and prestige update.

I disagree you could adjust how hard your games were back then if you wanted to super sweat if you wanted to play casual then go to green rank. With MMR now I cant play with any of my friends I'm trying to get into dbd because they get thrown into sweat games due to my mmr and I've bought the game for about 15 people only 2 have stayed to play which is sad becaquse i want more people to enjoy the game.

Do you have any comments on how top players who say playing a killer is more difficult than a survivor all enjoyed at a survivor in Lightout?
One of the reasons is that items and add-ons are plentiful, but in the past, survivors were hesitant to bring items in for the sake of fairness, as killers were clearly at a disadvantage. There are no more infinite SB, balances, and more, there are no more walls with stains oozing out, so the game balance is actually little more closer to the killer, but instead, the know-how permeates to the survivor side, and the increase in swf and items and add-ons. In the end, we are still living in a time of great trouble for killers.
