Well there are the made up rules killers should be following at all times, according to survivors.

And theres hook gymnastics for signaling a camper.....

The first rule of Fight Club is: You do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is: You do not talk about Fight Club.

@Mushwin While that would be nice I am afraid that there are just too many (insert whatever explicit noun you want here)s in the community. I have tried several times after having lost the trial to give the hatch, only for folks to run out the gates out of fear of NOED.

If such a code was made then it would quickly be ignored because some (repeat previous explicit noun here)s would abuse it just for a "cheeky" kill that doesn't change the fact that they still lost.

It's a nice idea @Mushwin but one that would be abused.

I mean that is the rule. It’s an understood silence.

The most us survivors can do is point and say follow me.

You can say follow me to show someone the hatch. So that in the end at least one of you knows where the hatch is.

If you don’t want someone to heal you, heal yourself or keep moving to make them stop. The best to say “no” is probably shaking your character’s head to say no. Usually I understand or by pointing at killer or gen.

ofc there is a way to befriend, mostly:

    • crouch and head up and down and wait killer to reply yes or no
    • leaving your item slowly in from of killer and crouch like previously

Some people beleive twitching on the hook means "camping - do gens" and holding arms up longer means "all clear - come and get me".

    Not a universal code unfortunately.

@BACKSTABBER - I wondered why someone left me a toolbox at the gate before escaping. I was so confused. Thanks for that!

leaving any item in front of the killer is a symbol of submission, you are not gonna hurt the killer with flashlights or anything else, so you surrender to him/her to befriend

is kind of weird body language we use since we only have pointing and come here body smileys

I want there to be codes, sure. Players on both sides who respect the other team, and behave accordingly. Generally it's a free-for-all and you're both trying to win. If you do, or are playing well, there's no reason to taunt or antagonize the other team. You won and they lost, don't be a sore winner. If it was a good game, win or lose, say so!

It's always important to be respectful, even if things aren't going your way. There's still a person on the other side of the screen, so even if they're being a total scumbag, at least you don't have to stoop to their level. Maybe they should implement a frowny face to display if you were unhappy with how the match went (not about winning or losing, but how the other side played). Yes, that's supposed to be a little funny. It gets the point across but isn't offensive like a finger or a chocolate ice-cream icon.
