Do survivors like playing against xeno?

Member Posts: 67

I main xeno, overal i have good matches but sometimes i get a random game where survivors immediatly give up cause they dont like playing against xeno, because her antiloop is to strong or someting. To me xeno seems incredible fun to play against cause even though she's quite strong you do have counter play with the turrets wich can be pretty strong when used smartly. Maybe some people just wanna face m1 killers so they have easier chases?

Also is xeno a killer you commenly face?

Xeno on Hawkins is a massive pain because the map is too cramped to put turrets anywhere. Hawkins does not handle new killers well at all, further proof they should have redesigned the map before bringing it back.

Nope. Power is just too fast and turrets are annoying to use

It doesn't really matter, since it's a failure on the part of the survivors to cause the Xeno's tail to animate due to not being able to handle the turrets properly. Since she has a powerful gen patrol ability, she requires survivors to perform severe pre-selfpositioning. It seems that many survivors find this troublesome.

i usually die go next on Alien, i hate the new trend of killers that are basically "Damned if you dont, damned if you do" in chase. Chucky and Xeno are both the showrunners with this playstyle. So to answer your question, absolutely not, xeno is miserable to play against.

    Not at all.

Yeah I like being creative with turrets and I generally don't have much problem with Xenos, they're one of the killers I escape against the most.

I do, but it depends on the map. Maps with very little high walls make it kinda rough.

Which really just makes it a map problem.

I don’t mind going against xeno, personally. I hardly ever see them anymore.

learning to counter xeno can be frustrating and feel oppressive. However, once you’ve learned how to counter xeno it feels a lot more fair. Some tail shots still can feel very cheap, but there is a level of counter play there outside of using the turrets in chase.

I played a few matches earlier as xeno and I had someone dc against me, and I don’t tunnel. I wasn’t using any perks or add ons either because I was just learning basekit mechanics. I wasn’t even doing that well like they got a 3 man escape against me if that tells you anything. So like, yeah. In short survivors if they don’t like something will just dc even if you’re a perkless, add on less, non tunneling xeno newb🙃

The turrets are just tedious to use. My biggest issue with Xeno is how incredibly weak turrets are if you bring the right addons. I've played close to 100 games as Xeno at this point so I know from first hand experience how strong star map+emergency helmet are.

    nope,

especially since turrets take forever to setup and ive still not seen a xenomorph knocked out of his power

I want to make sure I’m not missing something but the turret box teleporting. You can only do that through addons right? Also what does highlightlng the turret box even do other than turning it yellow at basekit?

Not my least favorite, but definitely not one I get excited to see.

Can't speak for anyone else but I don't really like him.

Playing against Xeno sucks from my experience because I can't rely on solo queue teammates to help out with turrets and placing them in tiles with pallets and windows rather than right next to control stations. I like placing turrets but it takes forever to set them up and my solo queue teammates would rather follow the Xenomorph for a lovely Background Player play rather than setting up turrets or doing generators.

It doesn't help that Xeno literally has an uncounterable chase power other than holding W or having good turret spots, just hope that she misses and that your solo queue teammates are competent!

    Nope. Horribly designed power.

Highlighting a tunnel will show the Xenomorph a yellow path leading to it while underground, like a GPS route.

I've always felt that the main problem is that survivors are still holding onto the belief that his tail is too powerful still just because of how it was on release. A lot of people fail to realize that they severely nerfed Xeno to a point that many people just don't enjoy playing as him anymore and the fact that most of his addons are just bad through either being under-valued with their numbers or just being completely pointless(such as Ripley's Watch) just amplifies that even more.

Also, just to clear up the confusion, default Xenomorph is a male not a female because the default, prestige, Grid, and Blighted skins are all male Xenomorphes while the Xenomorph Clone and Queen are both females. A lot of people just seem to forget about this little piece of info from what I've noticed-
