Is it just me or is there still a cheater problem?
Currently the amount of obvious cheaters I get in my matches is almost unbearable.
Almost every second match I play vs Survivors who either are cheating in an obvious or subtile way.
Most the time it's the well-known Speedhack, with which the Survivor can move faster than he/she regularly should be able to,
then there are Survivors who teleport around the map, or teleport to a spot where the Killer can't reach them and then they hope the Killer leaves the game,
and many more.
(I am sure there are also Killers who are cheating)
I have to admit, the ways how the cheaters are trying to hide their betrayal to the inexperienced players are pretty funny.
Last time I faced a cheater SWF I stayed in the post game chat and asked them If they think I didn't witness them teleporting away each time I caught one of them in the field.
I mean If I corner a Survivor, and he completes vanishes to thin air, nowhere to be found in the proximity, it is clear that this is not legit. Especially if this happens every single time in the same trial.
Their answers were "Git Gud" / "I simply outplayed you" / "Baby Killer".
Yea.. you "outplayed me"... at spots where an outplay was impossible lol.
I mean I know I shouldn't be mad when I face cheaters (If it's early in the trial I usually DC right away), but still, these games are just a big waste of time.
I also have no empathy for the cheaters. Why would you cheat in DBD? Do they think the other players won't realize? Or is it just some kind of trolling?

Nothing new here, cheaters are everywere at least in EU server and nothing has been done to block them

Thought so. That's just sad.

Played against a clear hacking Billy today. So cheaters are definitely around

Afraid to say they’ve never really been gone. Especially since the Epic Games incident…

I report them multiple times but got only 1 success, even though one of them was running faster than killer in whole game.

I got my first obvious hacker for months yesterday. It was an Ashley who would fly up and sit on top of the exit gates any time they got injured.

It's sad but I don't report cheaters. Because the report function in its current state is too tedious to use. It takes too much time. And even if the cheater gets banned he / she will simply use a new account and carry on.

"wait, there's still cheater in dbd?
Always as been"
in a serious note... I have less problem to detect cheater as plauing killer than playing survivor, there's cheater in the two roles
But when you play killer, the teleport action are more or less obvious, and the speedhack can be seen with the time you take to get one survivor, when it is more difficult to get them (in a straigh line)
When you play survivor, even for your teammate, you don't see that easely, and detect a wallhacking, when it's less obvious is hard to even prooving in a video (like the killer who run at you without aura perk at the beginning when you are hidding behind a big rock and running above you on the Game and just falling on you immediatly)
There's a lot of work to do about that..

I run in to them every so often and it is annoying. I would hope that they would have set a precedent when they exposed the Twitch streamer hackers by taking them to court.

A few days I played against a cheater SWF on Shattered Borgo. Game started, I patroled Gens, no Progress on any Gen, found nobody.
So I went to the other side of the map, suddenly the Gen 20 meters behind me which I just left immediately went to 100% (had 0% progress before). Then I saw a Dwight a few meters in front on me, he just stood there, recognized me, pointed at me, and then immediately vanished into thin air. A few seconds later the next generator was finished.
Then I DC'ed. No fun playing against obvious cheaters.

Last night on dead dawg and the game I got the same cheater lol. I made it my mission to condemn mori someone without him instantly decisive striking me if I chose to pick up.
That’s fine, I’ll slug and condemn. It served me well. The only one I couldn’t get was the Cheater. Then he messaged me and told me not to play like that because it’s slimy and cheap. The audacity. 🤣 because you couldn’t save your friends with your HACKS please…..
I reported of course (twice) I use to get notifications by Dbd about reports. I rarely do now. I hope they’re still combating the cheaters. I know it isn’t easy.
Several cheaters openly stream on TikTok showing off all their hacks while they troll killers… it’s annoying.

I'll give BHVR credit in that they actively do work to stop cheaters, despite the fact that they are always going to be one step behind, because the only way to find cheats is when they appear.
A while back, didn't BHVR create some anti-cheat wave that eliminated a lot of cheats at the time as it swept through the servers? It was a few years back though. It could be good if this was done more often, as opposed to the report system?

Yeah I see them a lot. I record and report it in game and online but never got am action taken notice :(
I report them on steam too, and often times if I remember to check back they get a vac ban heh
1 -
They stream it on YouTube too

Bans only work on subtle hackers

BHVR put the game up on EPIC store for free long enough for people to make hundreds of thousands of accounts to cheat on. This game will ALWAYS have cheaters because of that.

I faced 3 within this past week

As long as the game is popular there will be those that write and sale cheats for it.
It's a constant battle until the servers are turned off.
